Norma Joann "Jodi" Morton, age 68, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away July 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.  Born August 31, 1955 in Sedan, Kansas, she was the daughter of Norman Guy and Alta May (Keeler) Runyan. 

Norma was raised and received her education in Moline, Kansas until moving to Winfield, Kansas where she graduated from Winfield High School in 1973.  Following high school, she attended Cowley County Community College, receiving an Associate's degree.  She later attended and graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Norma was united in marriage to Thomas "Tom" Morton on October 13, 1995.  They made their first home in West Point, Mississippi, later moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  She worked for Schlumberger as a Buyer and Production Manager.  Following retirement in 2014, the couple moved home to Winfield.  She also worked in finance and production inventory for Rubbermaid and KSQ.

Jodi was a member of the Oxford Christian Church in Oxford, Kansas where she was greatly involved in the Blanket Ministry.  She loved animals, especially dogs.  She enjoyed working in the yard in the flower beds and traveling. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.

Her family includes her husband, Tom Morton of Winfield, Kansas; her stepchildren, John (Kathleen) Morton of Winfield, Kansas, Dedra Wilson of Winfield, Kanss, Holly (John) Ellis of Katy, Texas, and Levi Morton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sister, Oleta (Larry) Turner of Winfield, Kansas; her brother, Allen Runyan of Winfield, Kansas; her grandchildren, Brandon, Zabreana (Tanner) Thompson, Sarenity, Zach, Jasmine, Andrew, and Ethan; and two great-grandchildren, Mya and River.  In addition to her parents, Jodi was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Eva Runyan and a great-grandchild, Easton Thompson.

Funeral services were held on August 12, 2024 at the Oxford Christian Church under the direction of Miles Funeral Service of Winfield, Kansas.  Interment followed at Belknap Cemetery in Chautauqua County, Kansas.  Memorials are suggested to the Oxford Christian Church Blanket Ministry or to Gentiva Hospice.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.  Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield, Kansas has been entrusted with arrangements.
