Henry Eugene "Hank" Kill, also known as "Blackie" to some, beloved dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend, passed away on September 2, 2023.  He was born on November 4, 1942 to William "Bill" and Verna (Beaty) Kill and was one of nine children.

Hank attended Boston County School and graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Kansas.  He worked for Bill Rite in Sedan, Kansas, drove a truck for Ruan Trucking, and owned his own TV repair business in Moline, Kansas before he began assembling airplanes with Cessna and Boeing from which he retired in 1999.

In 1964, he married Marjorie Hess.  Born to this union was a daughter, Robin, and a son.  Hank also stepped in as a father figure and raised his grandson, Kody, as his own son.  They were very close and spent as much time together as they could.

Hank was an avid hunter, fisherman, and third-generation rancher.  He loved taking family and friends hunting and fishing in his spare time.  He was an engineer with innovation when it came to working on anything from small motors to heavy machinery.  He was a firm believer in being an operator, not just driving equipment and was always eager to share his expansive knowledge, stories, and experiences.

Hank is survived and will be deeeply missed by his brother, Tim (Renae) Kill; daughter, Robin Kill; grandson, Kody (Ashley) Kill; ex-wife and companion, Marjorie Edingfield; granddaughthers, Tori (Austin) Richardson and Krissy (Steven) Archambeau; and great-grandchildren, Henry, Kayce, and Holland Kill, Lane, Cole, and Finnley Richardson, and Charley and Claire Archanbeau. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Verna Kill; his siblngs, Duane, Dan, Mike, Steve, and Kathy; and two infant brothers, Willliam Eugene Jr. and John.

A memorial service to honor Hank was held on September 9, 2023 at Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.  Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the Disabled American Veterans and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
