Elden Fred Ruddle, age 68, of Moline, Kansas, passed away September 28, 2022 at Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, Kansas.  He was born on June 18, 1954 in Sedan, Kansas to Fred and Melva (Whaley) Ruddle.

Elden grew up alongside his sister, Corliss, on the family farm where he enjoyed helping the family with all the farm life chores.  As an adult, Elden made many friends.  He lived at the Rankin House in Moline, Kansas and enjoyed sitting on the front porch just watching people drive and walk by.  He loved people and never met anyone he wouldn't talk to.

Elden is survived by his sister, Corliss Spiller and his nephew, John David (Kristine) Spiller, all of Stillwater, Oklahoma.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Ruddle and Melva Ruddle-McNown,  and his brother-in-law, Larry Spiller.

Graveside service for Elden will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Moline City Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Moline Day-Hab and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
