Marsha Allen, age 76, of Caney, Kansas and formerly of Moline, Kansas, passed away on December 29, 2021 at Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma.  She was born October 26, 1945 in Independence, Kansas to John F. and Loretta Mae (Hopper) Clark.

Marsha grew up in Moline, Kansas where she attended local schools and graduated from Moline High School.  She furthered her education at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas where she earned her Bachelor's degree.

On December 27, 1969, Marsha married the love of her life, James "Jim" Allen in Moline, Kansa.  The couple made their home in Caney, Kansas.  They had two chidlren, Michael and Sharawn.  Marsha filled her days taking care of the home and the children.  She was very active in all their events and hobbies and did a wornderful job taking care of the family.

Marsha was of the Methodist faith.  She was a member of the Moline United Methocist Church where she attended church for many years.  Her other hobbies were attending baseball card conventions with her son, baking, reading mystery novels, and working puzzles.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Sharawn (Eddie) Rose of Grove, Oklahoma and Michael Allen of Caney, Kansas; a granddaughter, Kayla (Blake) Conway; great-grandsons, Landon and Cayden Conway; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim. 

Following Marsha's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.  A memorial service was held on January 7, 2022 at the First United Methodist Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas with Rev. Yves Kinangwa officiating.  A family inurnment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Moline, Kansas at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association and may be made onlin at www.alz.org or left with or mailed to the funeral home.  David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Avenue, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337 has been entrusted with arrangements.
