William Frederick Edmondson, age 89, of Longton, Kansas, passed away August 4, 2020 at his residence.  He was born February 13, 1931 in Simpson, Kansas to Dorothy Cecile (Maske) and Edgar Edmondson.

William was raised in Simpson and graduated from Simpson High School in 1949.  After serving in the United States Navy, he moved to San Diego, California to work as a machinist in the aerospace industry.  He later worked for Boeing in Wichita, Kansas.

In 1953, William married Edda Joan Flygare, and she passed away in 1991.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW.  He was a great dad and granddad and was an "all-around good guy".

Survivors include his daughters, Donna Reno of California and Anita Pinkosky of Florida; his son, John Edmondson of Longton, Kansas; his sister, Beverly Morrison of Longton, Kansas; and six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edda Jo; a sister, Anita; and a brother, Edgar.

A memorial Celebration of Life may be held at a later date.  Service arrangements have been entrusted to Zach Webb Family Funeral Service of Independence, Kansas.
