Nikki Lee Cody, age 65, formerly of Longton, Kansas, passed away on May 26, 2020 at her home in McPherson, Kansas.  She was born on October 9, 1954 in Halstead, Kansas, the daughter of Wilbur Lee and Colleen Pearl "Lee" (Nichols) Bland.

Nikki graduated from Halstead High School.  She had been a bookkeeper at the Citizens State Bank, formerly Home State Bank, in Longton, Kansas.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in McPherson, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Janssen of McPherson; her daughter, Kendra (Blayne) Murphy of Centralia, Missouri; her granddaughter, Kensley Murphy of Centralia, Missouri; her stepdaughters, Taysha Yowell and Tannah Janssen, both of McPherson, Kansas; her stepson, Blane Janssen of McPherson, Kanss; her sister, Shelley Beezley of Minnesota; and numerous nephews and a niece.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Bland and Lee Rush.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the McPherson Cemetery in McPherson, Kansas with Rev. Joe Nichols officiating.  Memorial donations may be given to the Giving Hope Cancer Fund in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N.
