Larry Wayne Jay, 67, of Goessel, Kansas, passed away on December 1, 2019 at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater, Kansas.  He was born October 18, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas to Virgil Wayne and Barbara Jean (Burges) Jay.

Larry was a 1970 graduate of Howard High School in Howard, Kansas.  He married Peggy Hall of May 26, 1973 in Augusta, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy of Goessel, Kansas; his sons, Michael (Amy) Jay of rural Hillsboro, Kansas and Brian (Amy) Jay of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Karry (Jon) Lawrence of Newton, Kansas; grandchildren, Cody, Vivianne, Ellis, Emery, and Blair; and his uncle, Eddie Jay of Burden, Kansas.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Golden Plains Free Methodist Church in rural Newton, Kansas.  Committal service will precede the service on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Cresco Cemetery in rural Howard, Kansas at 11:00 a.m.  Memorials are suggested to the Goessel Community Foundation Impact Fund in care of Jost Funeral Home, P.O.
