Howard Courant
March 22, 1917

Howard friends received cards on the Sunday evening mail telling the "Mrs. Rebecca Davis announces the marriage of her daughter Harriet to Mr. Clarence M. Crismas, Saturday, March seventeenth, nineteen hundred seventeen, Kansas City, Mo.  At home after April first, Howard, Kansas.

While most of the near friends of the young couple had known that the marriage was likely to happen at any time, no positive knowledge of the date or place had been told by those most interested and it is a matter of surprise to the general public, and we may say a very pleasant surprise, for both Clarence and Harriet are popular with the entire community and highly respected by all who know them.

Mr. Crismas is a promising youn business man of Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crismas, a pioneer family.  The bride has lived in Howard most of her life and for several years has been a faithful and efficient employe of The Courant.  Both are popular members of the younger crowd and everybody joins in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Crismas a long happy and prosperous wedded life.
******************************

Mr. and Mrs. Crismas returned from Kansas City yesterday morning and for the present will stay at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Rebecca Davis, while Mrs. D makes an extended visit with her son Ray in Kansas City, where she went Monday morning.
