Garland J. Bell, age 85, of Peck, Kansas, farmer and retired Boeing superintendent, passed away August 7, 2019.  He was born on July 13, 1934 in Peck, Kansas to Jewell William  and Lola (Stripe) Bell. 

Garland was united in marriage to Dorothy "Joan" Teetzel on December 26, 1953 in Wellington, Kansas.  She preceded him in death on October 25, 1994.  He was again united in marriage on August 29, 1996 to Janice Kay Dennett in Council Grove, Kansas. 

Survivors include his wife, Janice; his children, Debbie (Jeff) Crawford of Peck, Kansas, Steve (Michelle) Bell of Mulvane, Kansas, Kevin (Ellen) Bell of San Antonio, Texas, and John (Heather) Ritchey of St. George, Kansas; his brother, Samuel (Nancy) Bell of Peck, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan (Teetzel) Bell; his parents, Jewell and Lola Bell; his sister, Cheryl Harris; and his great-grandchild, Isaac Sittenauer.

Services were held on August 9, 2019 at the Haysville Christian Church in Haysville, Kansas.  A memorial has been designated in his memory for the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy, 130 N. Topeka Street, Wichita, Kansas 67202.  Shinkle Mortuary of Haysville, Kansas was in charge of arrangements.

Garland Bell was the husband of Janice Dennett, formerly of Howard, Kansas who was a 1962 graduate of Howard High School.
