Howard Courant
April 10, 1930

The following clipping from the San Antonio, Texas, Daily Express, will interest a lot of Howard people; "Joseph H. Turner, district geologist for the Independent Oil and Gas Company, with headquarters in San Antonio, is receiving congratulations from his many friends and associates upon his marriage Wednesday night.  Mrs. Turner was formerly Miss Elaine Pulliam of San Antonio.  Mr. and Mrs. Turner are foregoing the conventional wedding trip in the interest of an extended vacation during the summer."

Joe Turner is one of the finest boys that Howard ever turned out.  He is a graduate of Howard High and of Kansas University and has for some years been actively engaged in the oil game as geologist.  He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Turner of Howard, a native of this county, and a clean, ambitious young man and always popular with the young and the old alike.

All Howard--and especially his associates in the Howard Band--join The Courant in wishing Joe and his fair bride a long, happy and useful life together.
