Charles Franklin Miller, age 88, passed away at his home in Grenola, Kansas on January 30, 2019.  He was born January 5, 1931 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Albert and Lula (Sweet) Miller.

Charles attended school and graduated from Grenola High School in Grenola, Kansas.  After graduating, he joined the United States Army and served over two years during the Korean War.  Once out of the Army, he went to work for Santa Fe Railroad as a welder following work in Wichita, Kansas and later Topeka, Kansas.  He retired from Santa Fe after 37 years and moved back to Grenola.

Charles had many passions in his life that included hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.  He traveled to many places around the country fishing in tournaments with his Bass Club, and he bagged the biggest buck he ever shot just this past 2018 hunting season.  Whenever you saw Charles anywhere, he was telling someone about one of his hunting or fishing trips.

Charles is survived by his children, Craig "Charlie"and Judy Miller of Winfield, Kansas, Cheryl Miller of Federal Way, Washington, and Jeff Miler of Grenola, Kansas; his grandchildren, Daniel Miller of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Racheal and David Leonard of Federal Way, Washington, and Stephen and Hazel Leftwich of Springfield, Missouri; and great-grandchildren, Joslie, Rowdy, Jesslyn, Ashton, Annalyn, and Cayden.
