Sylvia Vialine Davis, age 85, of Elk Falls, Kansas, passed away November 22, 2017 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.  Born May 21, 1932 in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma, Vialine (as she liked to be called) was the only child born to Carbin William "C.W." and Goldie Merry Ellen (Hunsucker) Goforth.

On November 6, 1948, Vialine married Theodore Junior "Dude" Davis in Paris, Texas, and to this union were born three children, Norma, Ellen, and Michael.  Vialine spent her life as a homemaker, and she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and especially watching old movies and westerns on TV.  She also loved her trips to the casino and Walmart.  She proudly wore the title of "Grandma" and was known to several as just that.  Vialine also served on the Elk Falls City Council.

Vialine is survived by her daughters, Norma and husband, Don Beougher of Elk Falls, Kansas and Ellen Howard of Augusta, Kansas, and  her son, Michael and wife, Linda Davis of Eldon, Iowa. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with 2 great-great-grandchildren on the way.  Preceding Vialine in death was her husband, Theodore, and her parents, Carbin and Goldie Goforth.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Elk Falls Cemetery in Elk Falls, Kansas with Pastor Susan Galvan officiating.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Memorials have been suggested to the Moline Rural Health Clinic and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
