Howard Courant
May 26, 1927

William Eaglin Jr. and Miss Tarcille DeVoe, both of Howard were married by Judge Fred L. Shaff, at the office of the Probate Judge, Wednesday morning, May 25, 1927, at 8:00 o'clock.

They at once started on a motor trip to Larned, where the groom's father lives and where they will spend a few days after which they will motor to Fullerton, California, where they expect to make their home.

The bride is one of the three daughters of Raymond and Prudence Fickel DeVoe----one of "the DeVoe twins" and has grown up in Howard.  Since the death of her mother a few years ago, she has been a member of the family of Walter and Marsha DeVoe, and has been a student in Howard schools, and is a cheerful and friendly little lady and well liked by all.

The groom is a son of William Eaglin and a grandson of James Eaglin of this city.  He has always made his home with his grandparents in Howard, is a graduate of Howard H.S. and has taught in the rural schools of this county.

Immediately following the marriage ceremony, their friends subjected them to a "Parade" in which their car was placarded with the sign "We Are Just Married" and they at once motored on toward the Great West, where we sincerely hope they will be happy and prosperous.

I located this DeVoe family on the 1920 census records.  The twins were named Lucille and Tarcille.
