At Howard, Tuesday, November 2, 1897, Mr. Fred Cummings and Miss Florence Gillott, Probate Judge Nichols, officiating.  The newly wedded couple returned in the evening to the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. N. Lytle where they were met by a goodly number of relatives and friends and all enjoyed a splendid supper prepared by Mrs. Lytle, sister of the bride.
