Oct. 30, 1896---Mr. F. Webb bought 1500 bushels of corn one day last week.  If any dealer in Elk County can beat this record let him show up.

Nov. 13, 1896---Frank Webb bought 2048 bushels of corn last Saturday.  This is perhaps the largest amount of corn ever bought by one dealer in one day in our city.

Dec. 4, 1896---Frank Webb has a corn crib north of his cattle yards 168 feet long, 28 ft wide and 10 1/2 feet high.  What is its capacity?  State your answer to the editor.

Dec. 18, 1896---We'll bet there are more cattle being fed at this town than at any other town in the two counties.  Webb has 800 head, Ames 300 and Ellsworths 300.  Here is only three men and 1400 head.

Oct. 1, 1897---Twenty-two car loads of fat cattle were shipped from Moline to Kansas City Monday, four by Ellsworth Bros., six by Webb and twelve by Joe Ames.

Dec. 10, 1897---Frank Webb's new barn is completed and occupied, being used for the teams necessary for his extensive cattle feeding.
