PC School Lets Students Pick Pronouns ...
But Never Expected This EPIC Backlash

"It's our job as conservatives ..."

Joe Saunders September 30, 2016 at 11:50am

This is one conservative who knows how to be a royal pain...as he's playing the role of court jester.

Fed up with liberal fiats demanding students be addressed by the pronoun of their choice, this political science major is hitting back at the heart of the politically correct gender identity movement with the kind of mockery liberals loathe.

But everyone else has fun laughing at.

Grant Strobl, a junior at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, is demanding college administrators refer to him henceforth as "His Majesty, Grant Strobl." And thanks to school policy announced this week, he just might get his way.

In an email Tuesday, administrators promoting liberal orthodoxy invited UM students to visit the school's "Wolverine Access" student web portal to provide "new Gender Identity information within the Campus Personal Information section," according to the Daily Caller.

"The University of Michigan is committed to fostering an environment of inclusiveness," the email stated. "Consistent with that value, the University has created a process for students to designate pronouns with the University and have those pronouns reflected on class rosters this fall.

"A designated pronoun is a pronoun an individual chooses to identify with and expects others to use when referencing them (i.e., he, she, him, his, ze, etc.)."

The newly dubbed, self-anointed royal called the policy "absolutely ridiculous," but is taking them at their word.

"I figured 'his' is an established pronoun and I entered 'majesty' — an honorific," Strobl told the Daily Caller. "Both words exist in the English language, unlike these invented pronouns. I expect that the university will honor its commitment and refer to me as 'his majesty.'  I expect the university to treat me the same as everyone else."

Strobl isn't the only one sick of the political correctness on campus.

It can be fun to mock liberals. And the clueless pomposity of most college administrators makes it too easy sometimes.

But there's a serious point to be made here. Making up pronouns to suit made up "identities" doesn't come anywhere near solving the kinds of identity crises liberals have been fostering for decades.

It only fosters more of the kind of insanity that's insisting men who prefer to wear dresses should be considered actual women, or that women who choose to wear their hair short and laugh at "The Three Stooges" are actually men.

No matter what games liberals play, reality remains reality, and His Majesty, Grant Strobl knows it: "It's our job as conservatives to keep this country sane."

It might seem like a losing battle, but it's good to see we're still fighting — and laughing about it.
