Nancy Joan Wilson died May 9, 2015 at her home in Eureka, Kansas at the age of 76.  She was born on August 5, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of George R. and Mary Ann (Parker) Gilbert.

Nancy was raised in Wichita and Forland, Missouri.  On October 21, 1956, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Wilson in Wichita.  To this union were born three children.  She began working for Boeing with sheet metal.  The family moved to Severy, Kansas in the early 1960s while still working in Wichita. 

Nancy and LeRoy both retired in the mid-1990s and began traveling the country in a fifth-wheel.  They traveled nearly everywhere between Arizona and Alaska for thirteen years.  They then made their home in Severy with LeRoy's father to care for him when his health declined.  They moved to Eureka in 2011.

Nancy was a member of the Severy United Methodist Church, the Cosmos Club, and the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy of the home; her daughter, Cheryle Joan Edwards of Yates Center, Kansas; her son, Rick LeRoy Wilson of Leon, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tracy Eugene Wilson; her granddaughter, Robin Jo Baumgartel; her sisters, Betty Ann Sarver and Ivone "Sue" Nelson; and her brother, George Robert Gilbert Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Severy United Methodist Church with Pastor Stacy Ellsworth officiating.  Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation hours are set from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Greenwood County Relay for Life.  Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, 121 N. Oak,  Eureka, Kansas 67045 which is in charge of arrangements.
