Hazel M. McGoyne, 88, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at her home in El Dorado.  She was born January 4, 1926 in El Dorado, the daughter of John and Iva Leota (Snyder) Martin.

Hazel was a meat packer at Safeway for 37 1/2 years and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Quilting Bee, Beauceant; Women's Auxiliary, Meat Packers Union, and a SBA Hospital volunteer.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing, Bingo, and traveling.  She was also an Elvis collector and a good cook.

Hazel was united in marriage to Charles McGoyne on December 19, 1945 in El Dorado, Kansas.  He preceded her in death on July 19, 2013 after 67 years of marriage.

Survivors include her sister, Anetta (Manford) Moore of El Dorado, Kansas; her brother, Vernon (Johna) Martin of Longton, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home Chapel, 200 S. Star, El Dorado, Kansas 67042.  Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.  A memorial has been established with Trinity United Methodist Church in Hazel's memory.
