HOWARD-- Mrs. Beulah Montgomery, 84, died Wednesday at the Twilight Manor Nursing Home in Howard.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Spurrier Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy L. Brown officiating.  Burial will be in the Green Lawn cemetery at Grenola.

Mrs. Beulah Montgomery was born February 21, 1892, near Frontenac, the daughter of James and Margaret (Livingston) Hutton.  She moved to Elk County as a child and attended schools at Moline.  She moved to Nebraska and completed her high school education there.

She returned to Howard in 1925 and was employed as a licensed practical nurse, caring for patients in her home for many years until retiring in 1962.

She married Frank Montgomery in Nebraska in 1913.

Mrs. Montgomery was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include one brother, Elmer Hutton of Pueblo, Colo., five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her only son.
