Patricia Elaine Riggs, age 85, a resident of rural Moline, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013.  She was born in Howard, Kansas on December 21, 1927, the daughter of Clifford "Buck" and Laura Geneva (Shipman) Nichols.

On May 5, 1946, Pat was united in marriage to Floyd Riggs in Howard, Kansas.  Pat was a teacher and worked in the school lunchroom.  She also was a Hunter Safety Instructor, a 4-H leader, and a member of the Eastern Star.  Pat drove a school bus as well as a wheat truck and tractors on the farm.  She enjoyed telling stories, playing guitar, and singing.

Pat is survived by two sons, Glenn Riggs of Sedan, Kansas and Rex Riggs of Arkansas City, Kansas; one daughter, Lynda Marshall of Winfield, Kansas; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Riggs; one brother, Jim Nichols; sisters, Collene Rush and Lori Odell; and great-granddaughter, Reegan Riggs.

Memorial services will be held at 2;00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Sedan, Kansas.  Family suggests contributions be made to the Kansas 4-H Foundation or charity of choice and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com  Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E.
