Delbert Rothgeb, son of Ira and Nettie Rothgeb, passed away at the age of 99 at Kingman Regional Hospital, Kingman, Arizona on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2011.  He was born August 17, 1912 at Upola, Kansas north of Longton, Kansas.

He lived in the Upola Community until moving to Arizona in 1942.  After living in Phoenix for four years, he moved back to Longton where he was engaged in farming.  He later moved to Arkansas where he was in the chicken business, having caged layers.  Upon retirement he moved to Bentonville, Arkansas before going to Arizona to live.  He had been living in Kingman with his daughter, Anita Jones, for the past ten years.

In 1933, he married Eleanor Zollars.  To this union two children were born:  James Leroy of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Mary Anita Jones of Kingman, Arizona.  This union ended in divorce.  He later married Eva Reno, Grace Mantooth, and Helen Hite.  They all preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Russell and Allen; and one sister, Mary Buchanan.

He is survived by two sisters, Viola Reynolds and Myrtle Kramer, both of Independence, Kansas.  Other survivors are his two children, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Longton Senior Center in Longton, Kansas on January 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Salvation Army in his name.  Memorials may be sent to Salvation Army, Southwest Division, P.O.
