Frank Englebrecht III, 66, of Longton, Kansas died Saturday at the Neosho County Medical Center, Chanute, Kansas.  Frank was born July 21, 1945 in Yates Center, Kansas the son of Frank R.Jr. and Zella (Scott) Englebrecht .

He grew up in Yates Center and graduated from the Yates Center School System. On February 19, 1966 Frank was united in marriage to Sharon McGuire in Yates Center, Kansas.  Frank worked as a machine operator for Woodson County as well as being involved in family farming. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Survivors include his wife Sharon of the home in Longton, Kansas; two sons, Frank Englebrecht IV of Longton, Kansas and Tracy Englebrecht of Little Flock, Arkansas; one brother,  Maynard Englebrecht of Park City, Utah;  two sisters, Barbara Newman of Yates Center, Kansas and MaryAnn Rorebeck of Wichita, Kansas; and five grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.  Family and friends will gather at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Longton Cafe, Longton, Kansas.
