Oldest "highway" map of Kansas I have ever come across:

http://www.kchistory.org/cdm4/document.php?CISOROOT=/Maps&CISOPTR=1677&REC=8

The numbers on the roads correspond to their designations at bottom of map.  They weren't actually signed with those numbers.

I was hoping to see K-11 coming down through Elk County.

Here's a map with K-11, also has K-36 which I had not seen before as a predecessor to present US 160.  Note US 160 along present US 166 from Baxter Springs to at least Coffeyville, maybe Caney.

It looks like K-11 ended at the town of Chautauqua, just south of Sedan.

1930 Oklahoma Highway Map:

K-11 ends at Sedan, Chautauqua, or maybe Elgin.  No corresponding route south to Pawhuska.  US 160 is K-12, US 166 is labeled east of Caney, but no label on that route from Caney to Caldwell.
