Waldo, it is interesting to see how many people there were at both gatherings. My guess is most of the people at the Democrat Rally would not be at a Democrat rally today. I can't imagine very many people that I knew as a young boy in Elk County that would be for Obama, Pelosi, Reid or Biden.

Fred C. Flory was probably walking through this crowd looking to interview someone.
"If one of the many corrupt...county-seat contests must be taken by way of illustration, the choice of Howard County, Kansas, is ideal." Dr. Everett Dick, The Sod-House Frontier, 1854-1890.
"One of the most expensive county-seat wars in terms of time and money lost..." Dr. Homer E Socolofsky, KSU

Yeah, I don't know why any of 'em would be for Obama, Pelosi, Reid or Biden;
and I can't imagine why anyone in 1908 would want to have been a Republican either.
