Anna Mary Wright, age 86, died Thursday afternoon, October 7, 2010 at the Wyoming Medical Center, Casper, Wyoming.  She was born August 25, 1924 in rural Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of John Andrew and Maud Ethel (Hammar) Schott.

As a young girl, she attended school in Hutchinson, graduating from Hutchinson High School in 1942.  She was a resident of Longton, Kansas for the past five years, moving from Guymon, Oklahoma, and was formerly a resident of Fowler, Kansas and Ashland, Kansas.  While in Guymon, she worked at the Book Shack Christian Book Store and at the convenience store in Fowler.  She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Guymon and the Friendship Bible Study of Longton.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and crocheting,having made a baby afghan for each of her grandchildren.  On April 17, 1944, she married Kenneth Wright at Hutchinson, Kansas.  He passed away on December 14, 2004.  

Survivors include a son, Jack Wright and wife, Darlene of Jenks, Oklahoma; four daughters, June Kramer and husband, Kenneth of Longton, Kansas, Rita Lyons and husband, David of Enid, Oklahoma, Carla Blain and husband, Ron of Douglas, Wyoming, and Cindy Conaway and husband, Kelly of Ringwood, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerhon Paul and Edwin John Schott; and an infant sister, Nona Marjorie Schott.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Fowler Friends Church in Fowler, Kansas.  Interment followed in the Fowler Cemetery.  The family would welcome memorials to the Longton Senior Center in care of the funeral home. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, 212 S. Fowler, Meade, Kansas 67864 was in charge of arrangements.

I know that June will really miss her Mother.  It was good that she got to enjoy having her live close by, in these last five years of her life.
