looking at the moon.....its bright. and the sky is so clear. as dark set in more and more stars lit up as if some one was turning them on one by one. Finally it's not to hot to be outside. The light breeze from across the pond is great, I love the frogs and crickets songs. Even the fireworks around the neighborhood don't seem to destract from fabulous summer night. 

wow,  from Dallas to baytown it gets more green and wet. wish I could take the water home with me. Dad has blooming fruit trees!  The lawn even needs mowed.

dad starts kohlrabi early ( like cabbage) in the window. It grows great in elk county, but i don't care for the taste!

another after shock!

my cat my have known... she came to the head of the bed just before, and stayed till half hour after. Finally settling for the foot of bed .(not her usual spot neer the heater vent.)

today i'm mending some jeans...thinking of how well Mrs. Hebb could do the job! One could hardly notice, if at all.  My mend will hold but looks prety rough.   

Today i watched lots of birds get drinks out of the heated dog water dish. It was intended for the chickens,but they didn't seem to mind the visitors. The hen scratch sprinkled around in the few bare spots of the yard was blanketed by every color of birdie.
I love to watch them! Hope they get their fill befor the next snow comes in.
