I don't know is its available on line but I will try and get the map scanned and posted. 
also I emailed Waldo scanned maps of the Evan's trail you were talking about except the KS Historical Society had the trail named as the California trail.  I was hoping Waldo could get them posted, since I wasn't able to.

I was reviewing a 1872 Department of Interior map and it showed a site approximately 6 miles west of Howard, probably a post office drop named Elk River.  Anyone know or have any information about this site.

This is my 5th try to get this on.  There are 4 pages so bear with me.  It is a Commencement for the Elk County Schools, Class of 1934, page 2 is the program, page 3 is the Common School Graduates of Rural Pupils, page 4 is the Grade Pupils from Elk Falls, Moline, Longton and Howard Grade Schools

There are 3 pages to this 1904 Commencement announcement containing names of pupils from this schools in Ek County and the dates of their graduation.  Longton May 3. Highland May 18. Grenola May 25. Western Park May 25. Busby May 31. and Elk Falls no date
I hope I get them uploaded with no problems.  I tried to load the Class of 1934 Commencement Elk County Schools but not smart enought to make it work yet because of its size.
