Miscellaneous / Veify a picture
July 26, 2014, 01:07:28 PM
Attached is a picture I have of a 1936 Basketball team it is captioned "1936 High School Basketball team. Trying to find out if it is of the Elk Falls Team or Towanda KS team can anyone help me listed on back Carl Ingel (Supt) Casida (coach)
The reason I question if Elk Falls or Towanda players on back row have "T" on the shirts, My uncle Melvin Martin was listed on the team, my mom and family lived both Towanda and Elk Falls

Hi, keep up the good work, but their are several other people like me in Kansas also photographing civil war stones, many of us enter them into findagrave.com. We do this so others researching their family history are able to locate were their civil war vet is buried. So far as my intrest I'm looking for any Civil War soliders buired in Kansas with Company C, 73rd Illinois Infantry.

Genealogy / Moore Family
January 12, 2011, 01:03:18 PM
I'm researching the Moore family. My Moore family came from County Tyrone, Ireland, some made their home in Ohio and some in Kansas. I see the Robert Moore obit on this forum he has to be related, I just have not been able to connect him. I also saw the Moore Family reunion posting which is of my family. I see that WP Heisler was shown as a participant of the reunion. Robert daughter married a Heisler. The only Heisler I now find in Elk County is Leland Heisler. Does anyone know the names of the parents of Robert Moore.

PS. My grandfather was Marion Francis Martin, who lived in Elk Falls, they were Mabel, Zelma, Dolly, and my mother Mary Elizabeth Condon, Dolly still lives in Elk Falls. They lived on the property west of the old bank. Across from Osborns gas station.
