Because it's the unvaxxed that are dying, obviously... anyone who actually looks at the DATA rather than social media knows this.

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/politics/texas/politifact/ /unvaxxed-20-times-more-likely-covid-death-16772714.php

Spoiler alert: Unvaccinated people are 20 times more likely to die of COVID-19 than fully vaccinated

The virus doesn't care about your opinions or your politics. Science is science.

Howard library still has them... they're proudly on display.

Arthur Hall, Norma Bassett Hall and one or two by Birger Sandzen also. I recall seeing the Jontra farm there.

Yeah, this is not good for Elk county and surrounding areas... the first glimmer of hope for new economic activity and it looks like it's going to be ending before it even starts.

Anyone talked to Jeff King? Who's our state rep now since King is now in the senate?

city and state governments will frequently exempt new industries from taxation in order to attract them. If KS didn't exempt the wind farms from property taxes, they'd just setup shop in Nebraska or west TX or wherever the tax treatment was more favorable.

It's simply a matter of attracting the jobs and the new industry before someone else does.

I'd rather forgo the tax revenue in order to attract at least a few jobs to the county... in case anyone else hadn't noticed, we're still declining.....

Flo is right - there are a lot of fine young people in Elk County... we have a lot of reasons to be proud of our local youth.

The persimmon sounds pretty pessimistic no matter what it looks like...

Ice?
Rain and Cold?
Snow???!!

What's the shape for "warm and sunny"?  How come we don't get that one instead?

When I first saw this thread, I was scared to death we were going to end up with a tin roof on the court house.

It's a beautiful building, and worthy of preservation. Let's do it right, and do it to last.

Hey everyone..

I heard a rumor that there's going to be another Ewaste cleanup day? Does anyone know the date/time/location?

Or am I mistaken?
