I stand corrected, it now says Smoky Hills is the biggest wind farm. It is west of Salina.

Montezuma, Ks which is on Hwy 56 west of Dogde City is the largest wind farm in the state. Country Living had an article on it several years ago, showing it,,and how much it contributed to the county. New school, track field, ect. So you might want to take note Elk Co. Also one of your own worked on this when it was being built.

Now this a subject that I know a little about. The former game warden here in CQ county says feral hogs are a problem and that he used to eradicate them on the spot. He said it was nothing to see two or three sows and litters a day and dispose of them. He said mainly by Hewins and Elgin on the river were where they were found. I have had pigs get loose and come back in two or three months and look better than the ones I had penned up on high powered rations. This is not always the case as feral hogs are actually low on protein which makes there snouts longer, there hair is long and wirey, and they don't grow as big as domestic hogs. If you've ever seen one or been at the sales when they sell them, they stink to high heaven. Once in Coffeyville someone brought in about 25 of them, and it like to have cleared the place out from the smell. Feral hogs are a big problem in Ga as seen in this

Tobina, in the case your talking about who ever occuppies the lane first has the right of way. So if you are coming off the hill and pass when the lane is empty, it is your lane. By law. But there are a lot of dead and injured people who were right by law, but still lost.

I drove a commercial truck for 25 years and I always thought it was against the law to drive in the left hand lane except to pass. I know the OK Turnpike has signs saying just that, and I'm almost sure it was in my kansas driver's hand book when I was in drivers ed 40 years ago.

SKTC's air card is a godsend for people in rural area's if it's worth the cost to you. I've been testing and running the card for about a month now and am highly impressed with it's performance. As far as I know the tower north of Howard and south of Howard are hot and in service. The card is supposed to work off Sprint and Verizon Towers and that will include Alltel as soon as Verizon completes the buyout of Alltel. I carry it with me and have yet to find a place where it would not hook up. At my home it downloads and uploads at over 2 MB per second. If they ever get the cost down to about 1/2 it should be the wave of the future. And altho I have not networked it yet, I'm sure it can be thru ICS as that is the way we had to do it in the early days of Direct PC (Hughes Net).
