Grandma Riggs taught me how to snap beans, make a pattern out of an old garment, and that Skin So Soft by Avon will keep the Chiggars away.

Granddad Riggs taught me how to drive, the secret yumminess that is spun honey, and that men are never too old to admire a beautiful woman.

Hello Again!!!

I know I've been absent for a while, and I would love to tell you all something exciting, but it's been the same old stuff.  It rains all the time. We actually had some snow last Saturday and a little bit on Monday too. The kids are growing like weeds, and I'm going to have to buy each of them a new wardrobe pretty soon. My husband is still doing the 2 week on, 2 week off thing with the Airforce; and I still have the same old crummy job. Well, actually I think the last time I was on it wasn't all that crummy, but it has gotten so much worse. I would really like to quit and find something part time so I can be home when the kids get home from school, but I haven't put too much effort into that yet. I'll check in again soon!!!

Take Care,
Amber

dandymomma...are you really only 13? You look older! ;D

That one suprised me too!!!

I'm over weight, my joints already creak, and I'd swear I were really in my 40's. There is not one part of me that feels 13.  However, I've been forbidden to wear hats by my husband because he says I look like a 12 year old. LOL.

I think Harmony is the perfect name. I wish you many blessed years in your new home. That church was honestly, the "happiest" church I've ever been in. Some places just "feel" good, you know??? I can remember holding Grandma's hand and singing. We mostly sat in the third pew on the "passenger side". I liked to be up close, probably because I didn't wear my glasses as much as I was supposed to. Grandma would fan herself with paper and mop her forehead with her hankie, but no matter how hot she was, she always held my hand when we sang.

Grandma Loretta kept the books for the church as well. Everyone said she did a really good job with the budget.

When did she work for the school??? I think I remember her mentioning it before, but it was such a long time ago.

Does anyone know what year it was built? It looks like it should be on the historical registry. It's such a grand building. I was suprised that the sign at the top was wooden, not stone.
