The Coffee Shop / Re: Poll: Boards on the Forum
June 05, 2008, 07:20:51 PM
It's not advisable to mess with human or mother nature....or....tinker with perfection. The variety of the boards seems very well balanced to me. Like any picnic, party, or other gathering of Godlings there are going to be many conversations. Rather than demonize or deny those with different interests or those who speak that which you don't wish to endure, just move to the next table and get on with your good life. Live and let live?

The Coffee Shop / Smoke and Fire Engine Sirens
January 16, 2008, 08:24:24 AM
I see heavy smoke in the SSW and have heard the fire department sirens headed that way. It doesn't look like a very good morning for someone. Anyone know who/what/where?  Sending out hopes it looks worse than it is and a prayer to send those hopes on their way.

As for the screenplay,  it won't be silly enough for Hollywood to consider.

Then perhaps 'it' should be made in Kansas, by Kansans, for Kansans -- rather than put to sleep - never to shine?  C'mon Rudy. Think BIG.

And a fine job you did while up on that ladder Devin. Windows are loooookin' gooood. Thank you for your help. GET TO WORK!!!!!  lol.

And thanks (in advance) for the photos you're going to take. I've been reminded by lots of folks who can't make the event that they expect 'pitchers of ever'thang'.

Thanks again,    Terrell

You know, Lynne and Terrell, I may not make it to the wedding/party.  One of my best friends that I have spent my entire life being best friends is having a birthday party for herself, her son, and her daughter.  So, I don't know which one to go to.  I think I'll try to go to both.  I might just have to leave yours early.

Of course we would love to see you Janet, but truly understand birthdays are not to be trivialized. Do come if you can, stay as long as you wish and feel no qualms about having to procede to the next event of celebration. You can always come back later in the evening if you so desire. The Harmony gathering should last well into the wee hours anyway. Oh my poor neighbors!! Don't worry folks, we only pull this kind of stunt every six years or so. lol.

Terrell,
It sounds like a blast.  I will do my best to keep Dad in Howard until after 4pm.  Unfortunately my time is not my own on this trip.  At the very least we will drop by the house and bother you while you are frantically getting ready for the party.   ;D  Kevin

Greetings Kevin!  Of course you have an itinerary and the needs and wants of others to keep you on the straight and narrow. We will be most grateful and pleased to receive you at any time and for as long as you may stay. Looking forward to meeting at your's and father's convenience and ability, desire and energy. Safe drive and peaceful journey Clark family.  - Regards, Terrell

To Janet, the Clark family, All our neighbors and fellow forumites. Do please try to come by. It's going to be a wonderful celebration and chance to get to greet our neighbors and share in the joy of the day. Thank you for the blessing Jo. That's the stuff!!!!

Here's a link to the posting in the Events folder of the forum as a reminder. (Just disregard the RSVP stuff...)

Rumor has it; A professional magician and a Hawaiian Poi Fire Dancer will join the festivities, as well as a whole bunch of excellent musicians and instruments and a Karaoke Wizard.  Yes - we've gotten a fire permit.  ;D

Hugs to all. See you in Harmony.   Terrell and Lynne

PS - Have a safe and happy journey Teresa and Kjell.
