Wake-up I appreciate your reply. I am one of those that was a hippy clipper in the 60s and early 70s. we probably are the only ones that remember that. ( probably not something to be proud of today)
I don't abide well with those that protest our military operations or personnel  today or yesterday, right or wrong  . Then again I will defend your right to disagree with me.
I love discussions on these things, I would like to have coffee some day with you.

By the by, we poor constitutional conservatives that came here to get away (1988), didn't expect to come to a county so poorly run, with the highest mill rate in the state. Liberals running as republicans is such a farce, and people eat it up. Ya need to look at their past folks not just their last names.  We don't have one conservative (republican)  on our county commission today. We have been played.

Still God bless ya.

Well Wake-up that is a pretty song but it is a Viet Nam war protest song by and in front of a bunch of hippy, dope smoking, FM type, worthless scum, that insult every military vet on this forum that sacrificed in Nam Or any other conflict we have engaged in .
Don't get me wrong, I am a conservative constitutionalist, 69 year old redneck that wants freedom for all, it is just that this song bites my American military loving a$$.
  God bless ya.

I am not so sure Ross is still around. His place is for sale. It could take quite some time to turn at the $3,000/acre I heard.

Hump, my friend. Why must I always have to come to your rescue ? You want rid of those pesky little dive bombers---call in the Marines. First I would call in a Phantom to drop some snake and nape---just to soften them up---then a few rounds of 155 arty to drive my point home---then walk some 81 Mike-Mikes , Hotel Echo ( High Explosive )  across their AO. After the smoke clears I would then send the Navy Corpsman up front to "tag'm and bag'm"----and to check for any remaining resistance !
Wake-Up! might not agree with me on the last thing I would do. ;D
I thought that I would do like the ROKS do, just cut off their heads and post them on a pin, then again, that couldn't even get onto Live Leak with that. Besides H.E. could hurt mama's garden.
Thanks for guarding my 6 .

@ WAKE UP: with a pistol,  Number one I wouldn't shoot a full can of anything, but I just think trying to get these little buggers is a lot of fun. I am not as good as I used to be because I just can't shoot a thousand rounds a year any more.
The whole idea of the post is not to say how a good of a shot I am, but to try to add a new way to enjoy the sport of shooting a very challenging target.

The Coffee Shop / Think you are a pistolero ?????

The last time I qualified with a pistol for patrol duty, I scored a couple of points short of master at the Wichita Police range, combat, timed fire course.
Today I was accosted by several "wood bees " out by one of my sheds. I went to my, be all, kill all..............
22 cal 6" Heritage pistol "wheel gun" loaded with CCI 22 frog shot "#12 birdshot" . If you think you can hit your target with reasonable accuracy, regularly, and can take on all comers, think again.
If you  think you are good with your handgun, then you need to try these little monsters. I felt very proud of 12 for 1, at 2 to 4 yds.
Lots of practice for me in the future.............. I can't hit a bee in the butt.
They have no center mass.

Mike I don't hide who I am,but some times it is best to not discus things on a "forum".
I am Bill Hunphrey and my email is wshum@southwind.net  God save me now,but there are some things that should not be on public forum.I fear no one and nothing. glad you are at home after your shift.
But let it be also known that I pray for Doug Hanks and his officers too.It is a unique family we belong to that goes beyond elections and the day to day business of the  civilian.
Ya Ronnie E. I know.  Same thing, just few realize it.

As usual, your point is well made, but I still see room for a truck in certain situations. We will have to agree to disagree on fineite points.
I look forward to meeting you some day to swap war stories.

First of all I was an LEO for 10 years and we always used to laugh at the Sedgwick Co. deputies for not needing to clean "any dust in their trunks from driving down county roads". I can relate to wide and very visible patrol,it is a way to not only show the residents there is a presence of their LEOs but is a very real way to prevent crime.I can't remember the last time I saw any kind of patrol come down my road in the past two years.
Now for the way the county is providing patrol . I don't think Mike, that the county is paying 30G to 40G per Tundra because they should be buying them under fleet buying. A car just won't work here in our county, and smaller 4x4 s can't provide the need for transportation of equiptment and persons not to mention the places they have to go, so I will have to defend the Tundra (Dodge man myself) I know Davis Moore sells to cities and counties for fleet price, which is so far from what I pay for a truck, that it pisses me off.
If the county is not buying at fleet price then that could be another old "good buddy"deal, but I don't  know about that for sure because that needs to be a question for the A.G. if it is not on the level.

God bless and protect all of my brothers in Blue so they can go home at the end of their shift. l love you one and all.

I wonder how long it will take the race pimps , white guilters, left loonies , and professional victims to start burning books about the South ? The complete and total idiot mayor of Memphis , A.C. Wharton. wants to dig up and move the remains of Gen. (CSA)  Nathen Bedford Forest. Nothing is sacred to these loony toons , not even a grave .
IMHO if this keeps going on and on past the usual "news" cycle , it really will start a war of sorts ,
