A lot of truth in this, we are losing this Great Nation and running out of time to stop the tide of illegals, we need to close the Borders completely and regroup.
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always loved Ray Stevens. Remember the Streak?
Larryj
I loved it!! Thanks for the video!! It's so right!
Funny for sure, but it begs the question, if businesses and crop farmers and fruit growers and chicken raisers wouldn't hire illegals they wouldn't have jobs! Certain businesses (until recently) counted on that cheap labor and didn't care if they had papers or not. Business owners vote, so they weren't hassled, and Americans got used to relatively cheap food as compared to much of the world. Just think how many Gov't food subsidies there were/are. It's very complicated.
Fed Gov't subsidies & programs have induced illegals to come here.
And the Fed's seem to allow them in to stay.

You know thats not the reason they come. Why not come when Government is not doing its job. They can get free medical, free schooling, free food, free house, free transportation, what incentive is there to not come.
Arizona has the right idea, instead of arresting and deporting, arrest them, imprison them for breaking the law, when they finish their time then deport them. If they get caught in the US a second time illegally, double the prison sentence, then deport and so on. After a while it becomes too risky to break the law and they get in line like everyone else that wants opportunity.
Exactly. It's not so complicated.
OK. But then we have to increase Gov't spending to hire all those "catchers" and "deporters,'' "transporters" and all the legal system that supports all that. The states can't afford it alone. Why are you letting the people that hire them get off? Aren't they accountable too? This didn't just start yesterday. It's been going on for several generations now.
Diana has a good point. If AZ were to incarcerate all illegals, we would need a prison the size of Delaware. I know, we could line them up in the desert, have them dig trenches and then.... naw.... that wouldn't work either.... mess up the desert eco system.
Diane has a good point; if there is no work for the illegals, then they won't come. If there is no market for the drugs, then they won't come. I would think that a state would come closer to solving the illegal problem by shutting off free rent, food, and medical care along with under the table jobs and drying up the demand for illegal recreational drugs. If this means legalizing them, then so be it. The issue of guns being smuggled out of this country also needs to be addressed. Profiling may be useful in some instances such as finding a serial killer, but I am not sure that it is something we want to see as a screening tool on an everyday basis. Probably would not be long before folks could be stopped for suspicion of having Alzheimers disease. In this particular county just about everyone would be stopped on a daily basis, since Alzheimers usually becomes evident in the elderly. Dementia would just be extra gravy for the states plate. ;D My former hubby was very dark complected with dark hair. He used to become very frustrated with people insulting him and discriminating against him as he looked more American Indian than the Welch that were his ancestors. I also think that states squabbling among themselves is not productive.

I'll tell ya, that line about work and all doesn't hold water anymore. You can't hire a illegal today for less than 10 dollars an hour. They don't work cheap. They aren't coming here for the work, they're coming here for the freebies.
The question is not why aren't we going after employers, but why are we giving them foodstamps, housing, medical care, free school and on and on and on when they are illegal? IF you don't give all that to them, they won't come. cut it out! IF they do not have proper papers, then tough luck jose, go back home.
Quotealong with under the table jobs
They don't need under the table jobs. All they ahve to do is give a made up social security card.
Not only that, what about the states that allow a illegal to get a drivers license without identifying them as a illegal.
But thats neither here nor there, If their illegal, they're breaking the law. WHy not put their ass in jail. Sentence em to the the specified period of time for breaking the law, stick em on a chain gang and once their time is done, send them back across the border. What is so hard about that.
Quoteand drying up the demand for illegal recreational drugs.
There is only 2 ways to stop drugs. first way and most effective is to execute every drug addict and dealer.
Simple and to the point. But people don't have the stomach for that. Second way is to legalize all drugs including prescription drugs and make them available to anyone that walks in without a prescription. That will bottom out the profit for the dealers and they wont' bother.
QuoteThe issue of guns being smuggled out of this country also needs to be addressed.
Why?
QuoteProfiling may be useful in some instances such as finding a serial killer, but I am not sure that it is something we want to see as a screening tool on an everyday basis.
You know profiling is not a bad thing. Why is it that we can't use the information we have to identify a potential criminal. Why?
I think if you are looking for mexican illegals or paki illegals you don't go searching 70 year old white ladies.
Ok, I'll bite, what is a "potential criminal?" Where is that in the constitution? ;D Execute every drug addict? Even the vets? Do you have any idea how many Docs are on drugs? Shame, shame. And how do you know what money an illegal will work for? How could you possibly know? Do you hire them? Are your bees illegal ? Show me your papers pleaszzzzzz. And yes, my question is STILL why don't we go after the employers also? They are part of the problem.

I told ya folks wouldn't have the stomach for it. The simple fact is that it would work!

Actually yes i have tried in the past. I had work for someone to do and no one would do it.
why go after employers? If they don't have a ready source to hire that is illegal then they won't hire them. Most of the employers don't know if these folks are illegal or not. Cause you catch all hell if you "profile" them or even ask if their legal.
God help ya if you ask them to prove it like Arizona is doing....
I had to show "papers" when I started teaching. So did Al, plus he had to swear allegiance.

I'm sorry i don't know what you mean.
If you are a citizen, you are required to provide a tin/ssn and a birth certificate and a drivers license or passport.
that satisfies the i9 forms.
If your a green card holder you have to provide your card info.
there isn't much that is required of employers to ask for to determine eligibility to work. IF a person comes up with the documentation then they are complying. Now no employer except the govt has the means to identify forged documents.
That is a problem. its not hard at all to produce a ss card with a number on it, nor is it hard to produce a birth certificate. Drivers licenses are easy to produce also, and you can even buy the hologram that they put onthem online now days.
Passports are hard to forge.
I don't remember other documents that will satisfy the i9 verification.
I had to show the documents you mentioned plus my teaching certificate, a copy of my UD graduation diploma and a copy of the scores on my teaching mastery test, which was the equivalent of taking "boards."

Ok i don't doubt it, I am not in the medical or teaching field so diplomas and certificates never applied to me.
I have never ever been asked for a HS diploma or a college diploma or degree even though i have two AS degrees. My experience in the areas i worked in was used in place of requirement for a Masters degree when i would go interview on a job.
Nancy Pelosi Has Big Plans For Obamacare...
Are you outraged yet?
OMG...O needs to put a muzzle on that one...She and Joe Biden are about equal in their inability to keep from opening their mouths and creating problems.
Hey Teresa, your aimin' right at NP's head, just pull the trigger.
Why Roma Jean, you sly devil you !!! You will be put on the list of the crazies that cling to their guns and religion. I do wonder why you put smiley faces after whart I think is a great plan. :)
It's called covering your a.. Jarhead.
Roma Jean, please don't suggest shooting NP. I'm totally against it. After all the Botox and work she's appears to have had done, the bullet might bounce off and hurt someone.
Yeah Diane, she looks like Joan Rivers' cousin! ;D
  Just for the record, I wasn't implying shooting her, really. I just thought it was funny the way Teresa's picture lined up with the video picture of her. Just want to make that clear in case Big Brother is watching. :police:
Nah, you're too nice a person to really want to shoot, bend, staple or mutilate her... or bind, strangle, drown, torch, or subject to the rack, pillory, snakes, ants, wasps, spiders or chiggers. But I might. She just rubs me the wrong way.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Diane. She rubs me the wrong as well.
Illegal immigration is definatly a big problem, and although people have been complaining about it for a number of years, neither the republicans nor democrats seem to get anything done to fix the problem. The truth is that neither party wants to fix the problem. Who makes money from illegal immigrants? Who wants them to be here? Big companies. They don't care about the problems created by illegal immigration, they only care about increasing profit margins by cheapening labor. These major companies can provide infinite amounts of money to political campaigns (thanks to right wing activist judges) and thus hold great influence over politicians.
The main goal should be to improve quality of life for All americans that are here legally. This can be done by a comprensive system of reform, hmm I think I'll do another list.
1. Imprisonment of employers who hire illegal immigrants
2. Withdrawal from NAFTA
3. Tax all corporations who send manufacturing jobs overseas
4. Tarriffs on imported goods that can be easily manufactured here in the states
5. Ban people from shopping at Walmart
6. Stop voting for republicans and democrats, they are already bought and paid for
Illegal immigration is just one of several tactics that are being used by business to lower the incomes of average americans.

I would be careful placing tariffs on your friends, you may miss some of the things that they provide you.
Jerry, I agree. I would say focus on the things that can be manufactured here. We have an incredibly capacity for steel production, yet we import it from countries that have cheaper labor. Give American steel companies a chance by placing tarrifs on imported steel.
steel companies couldn't compete because the unions wouldn't let them. SO they moved to other countries where unions don't control things.
I know that theres a steel company in youngstown ohio, Warren steel. Closed its doors due to union bankrupting them, moved operations overseas. The employees in the plant said hey wait instead of closing the doors, sell us the facilities. They each put in the money to buy the place, then proceeded to manufacture steel at a competitive price, without the unions in control. guess what they made profits. Big profits and compete with foreign steel companies.
Now if the steel companies could get rid of unions then we would have manufacturing here.
