OUT..FREAKIN..STANDING!!!! Should be viewed in every public school, television channel, and radio broadcast. Hit it center mas.
Speaking of out and out propaganda....but this one you like? My, my, imagine that. I thought" indoctrination" in schools was a bad thing. It's just like Hitler did. He would have demanded that his version of that film be shown to everyone. (I'm just being sarcastic)

well It is what made this country the greatest country in history.
Cartoons? ;D ;D ;D
Any way we can grab the world's attention do it.
Cartoons have been the way to go since the early 1930's or there abouts....and I for one really
like the message in this one.
Thank you for shaing it with us. Now, SPREAD IT AROUND....
An oldie but goodie...I liked all the stereo typical "people."
First of all, indoctrination is a bad thing. I don't consider the message in that cartoon to be some sort of neferious propaganda like the crap that the progressive left and public school teachers have been spewing at our children for years. Teaching our children the importance of the Constitution and developing in them a love of Freedom goes hand in hand with the continued exsitance of our country. Without it, America as we know it cease to be.
I will say that Hitler did one thing right. He developed in the youth a sense of loyalty and a love of country. He didn't give a damn about "global citizenship", he put Germany first. That is a trait that the U.S. has lost. We haven't put America first for quite a while, and our current leaders still continues to place the best interests of our country on the back burner. They allow countries like china, iran, afghanistan, to dictate our foregin and economic policies. They place the rights and security of our enemies above those of our soliders and citizens. They allow piss ant countries like iran to make threats against us and our allies that go unanswered, when they should be stepped on like the human lice that they are.
If you didn't think the cartoon was propaganda then it was successful! ;D. Propaganda, indoctrination, orientation, re educatuon, all words that can have positive or negative meanings depending on how they are used. I thought the cartoon was cute and clever, as were many similar ones made during and after WWII. TV advertising works the same way. You see it many, many times or it tugs on your heart strings and then they reel ya in.That's just the way it works. I just acknowledge it for what it is.
I remember this particular cartoon from way back then. It didn't have anything to do with Hitler, but was the beginning of McCarthyism. Remember the tv show 'I was a communist for the FBI'? This was in the 50s when there was a communist behind every bush. Not a good time in American history IMHO, although I was young I do remember the fear tactics that were used.

I don't think that cartoon quite fits the bill of being propaganda. Propaganda, by definition, is something that invokes an emotional response, rather than a mental response, to further a political agenda. That cartoon, at least for me, does not invoke an emotional response, but just brings attention to the facts of what could happen if we were to sign away our freedoms and become a socialist nation. And how do we know these things could be true? By looking at the results of other socialist nations around us.
Wow, I hadn't thought about that show in years! But that's right, I remember Daddy talking about all that at the dinner table.

That show must not have been very effective. According to several on this forum there's now a Communist behind every desk in every level of government. ::) :P

Actually no, just wolves in sheeps wool. Haven't you noticed the theft of a lot of wool this year??
Not really. I am allergic to wool so really don't pay much attention.
Still like the cartoon.
