What's the latest news of the wind farm in elk county? Ive been attending college at Concordia,ks for wind energy technology along with another elk county-er and there is alot of work involved... a few sites we use for classes include: http://www.awea.org/
http://www.talentfactory.dk/en/tour/
and another one that shows average wind speeds of the world is http://www.3tiers.com.
How cool! I didn't realize Concordia has a degree program for wind technology.
Sorry, I'm not up on all the exact details of what the status of the project is here, but you can probably contact the Elk County Commissioners, specifically Liz Hendricks, and she can get you in touch with the guy from the wind company. I'm sure he has a lot of insight as to the process and hurdles.

Channel 10 news mentioned it on their 11:00 to 12:00 news this morning. I missed it, but Daughter saw it.
Yup. Elk county surely does have a lot of wind alright. Much of it right down at ground level! ;D ;D ;D Seriously, I hope it all does work out. That could be a real economic boon if people there make sure to provide what would be needed for the influx of workers, and provide some good jobs for people who are already there. Go for it! Could be like a little oil boom all over again.
We were leaving town to take daughters to eye dr yesterday and one of them saw a news 10 channel van at toot's. Didn't watch news, to sick to last night, but wonder if that was what it was about. I am so hoping that they get the project started. WE are working on our rental house to get it back in to the living state to possibly get a renter or two out of the people coming to the area!!!
Now you're talking! Good idea. ;)
