Post by: W. Gray on March 17, 2009, 12:54:31 PM
"No woman on earth can go into a room where there's a corked bottle without making an effort to get it out. That's why we had our last bottle of "worm medicine" labeled "poison."

From the Howard Daily Courant, April 11, 1879. The Daily Courant resulted from the merger of the Elk County Ledger and the Howard Courant—more than two years prior to Tom E. Thompson becoming involved.

"Remember that the DAILY COURANT goes to press at noon. Any advertising, etc., must be on hand at not later than 11 o'clock."

From the October 28, 1879, Howard Daily Courant.
