Fall is good (Summer is better) but
Baking is always a nice way to spend time...
I worked up one pumpkin from our garden ~ had planned to do all of them but HONESTLY! Have you ever tried to peal a pumpkin! It's like pealing a rock!  I got one half done & chunked up and decided to put the other half in the microwave & then scoop out the flesh.  Ugh!  Then I went & pureed the whole mess thinking to can it and found out that canning puree is a no-no and I'll have to freeze it.  Oh well, I made a great pumpkin pie and will try a pumpkin roll later.  Guess I'd better get myself in the mood to work up the rest of the pumpkins too or they'll end up jack-o-lanterns.  Ha!

I microwave the pumpkin, let it cool and then peel it.  I usually do 10 to 20 pumkins every year.

Did I ever tell you how addicting this forum is? I find myself on here more than in a good book

Nice place to be and altho I know you are at work, this woman doesn't have to get gussied up if I don't
want to.

Hope you all have a great evening. I think I need to do something else..........(like read the paper and catch up with
my kitchen.) I did laundry and hung it out and now I need to iron, but that will be tomorrows problem..
God bless

Great wonderful day. Got to take a very enjoyable drive around the county and look at all the pretty Fall decorated yards and drive ways in the rural areas.  Must say the the roads are improving, lots of pride of ownership showing all around. Way to go Ellk County.

What a wonderful view you have. I spent most of the afternoon mowing and trimming and it looks so pretty. But our prettiness is the opposite of yours. We have openness where you can see forever and the colors are just beyond beautiful. Fall is truly an awesome season and we are so blessed to be able to enjoy them all. Thanks for sharing Pam.  Went to a long walk and got to enjoy the geese flying over, the neighbors pups romping in the bean fields, and big big turtles laying on the banks of the creek where the sunlight filtered thru the trees. Great day hopefully others were able to be outside and enjoy Mother Nature at her finest.

Sixdogmom needs to take a picture of their beautiful flowers and post it. Drove by their home mid day today and it is a blossom bonanza. Just outstanding.

Thanks! Those are some pretty big morning glories, although they were supposed to be a brilliant blue. They instead turned out to be light blue with a deeper stripe. The ones that I planted that were supposed to be white (to balance the deeper blue) turned out to be small blue ones. Seed does not hold true sometimes, and I have yet to find any seed produced by these flowers. But I will keep on looking, and I will try to post a picture. Thanks for noticing!
