HHEEELLLLOOOoooooooo......llllloooooo.....lllooo...loo
Pam, it's called the "calm after the storm" :-*
I suspect you are right Flo. I communicated with one of our forum friends yesterday who indicated that they needed to take a break from the forum after this past weekend. I hope the break doesn't last too long.
Hey, All!! :-) I noticed how quiet it has become, too...but I am sure that everyone will bounce back to normal soon. Kansans are made of hardier stock than that! :-)
I noticed what seems to be a flurry of activity in the Poetry forum. After a break I am sure we will see forum members return. I could show you other forums that I belong to where the past weekends exchange would be one of the more friendly conversations. ;). I think the uniqueness and overall family feeling of this forum will keep them coming back.

;) I've taken my blood pressure pill, how bout the rest of you? Just seemed we had gotten off the beaten path a tad bit. It had moved from "politics" to "attacking others' mentality and political persuations". I personally don't like "mud-slinging" - ;D ;D leave that to the polititions. I've always figured the political candidates who felt they had to dig up all the skeltons they could find on their opponent, either had too much time on their hands or didn't have enough "good" things to say about themselves, so the only alternative was to smear their opponent to make themselves look good.
Yeah, and your mother wears overshoes! I never did understand that one. I wonder how many weird insults we could find.
Yeah! And your mother wears army shoes!! LOLOL!! ;D ;D
And a lot of kids are proud of their mothers that wear army shoes.
Yes they are! But this used to be a popular childhood insult! Didn't mean nuthin' by it!
I don't think I ever had that hurled at me. Probably because if my mother heard it she would use her army shoes to walk all over them. Things like that weren't allowed at our house. Neither were fighting or cussing. Mother didn't enforce it so much as my little brother did. Since we owned the sports equipment our yard was usually full of friends, usually my brother's friends. If anyone couldn't get along or couldn't watch their tongue, my brother would pick up the ball, bat, basketball or whatever we were playing with, take them inside and that was it. Everybody could just go home or go somewhere else to play. And, yes, he is still like that.
violent little cuss isn't he? ;D ;D
Yes, he used to say that the only fight he ever lost was when he slipped going around a corner. He could talk his way out of anything.
Wilma, I know it is my job to make you laugh but you just made me have a good, heartwarming laugh.
thanks
David
Wait I just checked my notes and I am supposed to keep you entertained.
::) you suppose Wilma's brother is where the saying originated "I'll take my bat and ball and go home"
I don't know, but that is what he would do.
Uh, guys, look out...it's starting to heat up on the Forum again! :o We'll see how long it takes for all of the screaming to begin!
Lol, ain't gonna be no screamin from me.
Pam; I thought you quit politics anyway? ;D
The only reason I'm in here is to see why you thought it was quiet!
Yeah I did for awhile lol now I'm tryin to be a little mellower about it but still do it :P
I'm trying to be on the mellow blanket myself..
But Damn it is hard! ;D
Have to admit that y'all are making it hard for this old cat to be able to stretch out and sharpen her claws...here's a miffed but grinning, "Meowzah!" ;D ;D ;D
