I have some donations for the Garage Sale that I am having on Friday and Saturday, but have come across somethings that I think might be antique. I found some older floor puzzles and a Tom and Jerry Game. If someone could help me to find out if these things are antique I would really appreciate it. I can take pictures and post them if needed, just let me know!!
When I am in doubt about something and its' value, I look for it on Ebay. That gives me some idea of value. Hope this helps, Edie.
Angie, there are "antiques" and there are "collectibles". What they are worth is what the buyer and seller can agree on. That's what I always said when I was in the antique business. Something could be worth a whole bunch, but if you don't have a buyer willing to give that much, . . . do you get my point? If you want to sell it, don't price it by what you think they are worth. Price things by what you think a buyer will give. Check with Marcia Moore. She can give you some good imput, I'm sure.
I looked on Ebay and didn't find any puzzles like them. But that doesn't mean anything. There were 1000's of different puzzles. And thanks Flo, you are right about antiques versus collectibles. After reading what you said, I think they are more of a collectible thing. But if any of you are interested they will be at the Kiddie Korner Daycare Garage Sale on Friday and Saturday!! Thanks for all the input!!
You might take the time to go to an antique shop and ask what they think it is worth. We have an dealer in Topeka that is willing to give all kinds of information on items if you are unsure.
