The Death of Common Sense
By Lori Borgman http://loriborgman.com/author.html
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three yards of black fabric enshroud my computer terminal. I am mourning the passing
of an old friend by the name of Common Sense.
His obituary reads as follows:
Common Sense, aka C.S., lived a long life, but died from heart failure at the brink of the
millennium. No one really knows how old he was, his birth records were long ago
entangled in miles and miles of bureaucratic red tape.
Known affectionately to close friends as Horse Sense and Sound Thinking, he selflessly
devoted himself to a life of service in homes, schools, hospitals and offices, helping folks
get jobs done without a lot of fanfare, whooping and hollering. Rules and regulations
and petty, frivolous lawsuits held no power over C.S.
A most reliable sage, he was credited with cultivating the ability to know when to
come in out of the rain, the discovery that the early bird gets the worm and how to
take the bitter with the sweet. C.S. also developed sound financial policies (don't
spend more than you earn), reliable parenting strategies (the adult is in charge,
not the kid) and prudent dietary plans (offset eggs and bacon with a little fiber
and orange juice).
A veteran of the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression, the Technological
Revolution and the Smoking Crusades, C.S. survived sundry cultural and educational
trends including disco, the men's movement, body piercing, whole language and
new math.
C.S.'s health began declining in the late 1960s when he became infected with
the If-It-Feels-Good, Do-It virus. In the following decades his waning strength
proved no match for the ravages of overbearing federal and state rules and
regulations and an oppressive tax code. C.S. was sapped of strength and the will
to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, criminals received better
treatment than victims and judges stuck their noses in everything from Boy Scouts
to professional baseball and golf. His deterioration accelerated as schools
implemented zero-tolerance policies. Reports of 6-year-old boys charged with
sexual harassment for kissing classmates, a teen suspended for taking a swig
of Scope mouthwash after lunch, girls suspended for possessing Midol and an
honor student expelled for having a table knife in her school lunch were more
than his heart could endure.
As the end neared, doctors say C.S. drifted in and out of logic but was kept
informed of developments regarding regulations on low-flow toilets and mandatory
air bags. Finally, upon hearing about a government plan to ban inhalers from
14 million asthmatics due to a trace of a pollutant that may be harmful to the
environment, C.S. breathed his last. Services will be at Whispering Pines Cemetery.
C.S. was preceded in death by his wife, Discretion; one daughter, Responsibility;
and one son, Reason. He is survived by two step-brothers, Half-Wit and Dim-Wit.
Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Institute for Rational Thought.
Farewell, Common Sense. May you rest in peace...... Lori Borgman
You go girl! As far as I'm concerned, Lori, Common Sense had a massive stroke the
day we blew the Bay of Pigs fiasco, he fell into a deep coma in the early 1960's and
a deeper catatonic-like coma when the Viet Nam War started and tragically died when
the far left DNCer's and the ACLU decided we were not Politically Correct in our way
of thinking. Webster defines P.C.: "Conforming to a belief that languages and practices
which could offend sensibilites should be eliminated." My definition of P.C.: Pure Crap!
Of course, this is my opinion and I'm sure a few million out in Wonderland agree with me.
I'm tired of pussy footing around to please the left. No more P.C. for me!
Now.... you know, lately I find myself recurring gripped by an overwhelming desire to
smack our entire country upside its collective head.
Common sense in this country isn't just dead, it's been cremated and the far left, DNC
and the ACLU are smoking his ashes in their lucky skull bong. There is so little common
sense today that Thomas Paine is spinning over in his grave so rapidly that they are
thinking of hooking him up to a turbine at Boulder Dam to light up the Vegas strip.
You can't get to your doctors office in the morning without colliding with some idiot
who is trying to spawn upstream onto the elevator while everyone else is trying to
get off.
You can't get in your car and not run into another idiot who pulls into the gas station
with his fuel tank on the wrong side and then has to get instructions from a NASA team
at Houston Control to figure out how to maneuver his car so that the tank is on the
correct side.
And you can't open a paper without reading about a mondo idiot who gets hurt or
killed at a railroad crossing because they had to try and beat the train to get home
in time to watch Joan Rivers salute to porcelain clowns on QVC.
Now tell me, what the hell has happened to us? A chalk outline is slowly being
drawn around common sense and most Americans can't even identify the victim.
We've gone from a nation of practical-minded, can-do Johnny-Get-Your-Guns and
Rosie the Riveters to a bunch of sniveling crybabies who can't take it on the chin
without running whining to our lawyers.
We're so bogged down in procedure, we make Bill O'Reilly look like Henry
David Thoreau.... well, almost, anyway. You couple that with a Blanche DuBois-like
denial of personal responsibility for the pure crap in our lives, and it's no wonder we're
in a malasie that makes a bout of Epstein-Barr seem like a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader
doing the Watusi after four triple lattes with a Dexatrim chaser.
You know, there's close to a million lawyers in our country, and many of their livelihoods
depend on the fact that we have got no common sense. My theory is that intelligence,
like every other resource on this planet, has a finite amount. And as the population
increases, the intelligence resource is being stretched thinner than the elastic in Oprah's girdle.
For instance, a few years ago some old lady burns herself on a cup of coffee at
McDonald's and sues for three million dollars because it's not her fault. And she wins.
She wins! We have trouble convicting people who actually confess to murder, but
this woman is able to take three mil off of McDodo? If the judge had any common
sense, the trial should have gone like, "Will the plaintiff please rise? Yeah, it is your fault.
You're stupid. Coffee is supposed to be hot. Why didn't you blow on it before you
chugged it down like a pledge having his first beer? Get our of my courtroom, you
stupid, stupid woman and take your pin-striped parasite lawyer with you. Next case."
Common sense has been defined as the quality of good sense and judgment necessary
to know the simplest of truths. Well, nowadays simple truths are sighted about as often
as Jon Stewart on the "Beltway Boys." In the last twenty years we seem to have
completely lost the ability to obey the natural laws around us. We no longer recognize
things that are shockingly wrong anymore. We can't tell up from down, right from left,
absolutely one hundred percent not guilty from double-murdering scumbag guilty. And
we are getting stupider. Are we stupid or were we always this stupid?
I watch these TV evangelists on late-night cable channels and see the stadium full of
people giving hard-earned money away to some chrome-head, sweat-covered,
barking con man dangling eternal salvation in front of these poor bastards like a leash i
n front of a chihuahua with one kidney. Well, I'm just shocked at our lack of our
common sense. Clearly, this crook couldn't be more full of shit if he were a Porta Potti
at a Garth Brooks concert. Before you get upset, you know which ones I'm talking
about, people.
Now, to many people the government is the main foundry of not-know-how,
turning the raw ore sent to it by votes and tax dollars into cold-rolled sheets of
incompetence, which are then used in every aspect of our societal infrastructure.
Reports on reports of subcommittees of commissions create a sea of paper that
could float Rush Limbaugh's butter dish. All in all, practicality has about as much
chance of being served by the federal government as a loud Texan does by a
french waitperson... sorry, I mean French 'freaking' waiter.
People, we don't need more government, we don't need more colleges; we need
more schools that teach common sense. We don't need any more Einsteins who
can tell you the principle of microwave cooking but can't figure out how to plug
one in. I've always said, "Give someone a fish and they'll eat for a day, teach someone
not to run a bass lure through their testicle and they will be able to fish for the rest
of their life."
Where does common sense come from? It's slapped into the back of your head by
your mother when you try and touch the hot stove. It's the Buick crest branded
onto your forehead for all of eternity because you didn't want the seat belt to wrinkle
your new shirt. Common sense is what gores you in the ass in Pamplona when you
dress up like Little Richard and run screaming in front of the bulls down a street that's
narrower than Jimmy Carters' mind. And speaking of Jimmy, believe me, that will be
another story in the future.
And most important, common sense is admitting when you don't have a big closer.
I don't have a big closer....... unless you want to re-read Lori's obit again. ;)..... Warph
Common sense is the least respected commodity in our culture
Haven't you heard? Common sense is politically incorrect.
Love it Warph................. and how so very true it is! :)
Warph, I would really like to hear your comments about Jimmy Carter.
hee hee hee.. ;D and so would I... :D
We may laugh or wince at the absurdity of it, but the incident is a good example of the world we live in. Take nothing for granted when it comes to the administration of the Byzantine rules that govern our lives.
Welcome to the world of political correctness.
Man threatened with arrest at Heathrow for wearing Transformers T-shirt
Last updated at 14:04pm on 02.06.08
An airline passenger claimed that a security guard threatened to arrest him because he was wearing a T-shirt showing a cartoon robot with a gun.
Brad Jayakody, 30, from London, said he was stopped from passing through security at Heathrow's Terminal 5 after his Transformers T-shirt was deemed 'offensive.'
The IT consultant was set to fly off on a business trip to Dusseldorf in Germany when he was pulled to one side.
Brad Jayakody wearing the Transformers T-shift which caused offence at Heathrow
Mr Jayakody said the first guard started joking with him about the Transformers character depicted on his French Connection T-shirt.
'"Then he explains that since Megatron is holding a gun, I'm not allowed to fly,' he said.
'It's a 40ft tall cartoon robot with a gun as an arm. There is no way this shirt is offensive in any way, and what I'm going to use the shirt to pretend I have a gun?
He was cooperative with the supervisor and took off the the 'offensive' T-shirt, replacing it with another shirt in his carry on luggage.
A spokesman for Heathrow operator BAA said: 'If a T-shirt had a rude word or a bomb on it, for example, a passenger may be asked to remove it.
'We are investigating what happened to see if it came under this category.
'If it's offensive, we don't want other passengers upset.'
He said there was no record of the incident and the passenger 'certainly didn't make a formal complaint at the time.'
The Optimus Prime character on Mr Jayakody's T-shirt is the most well known of the series

Uh, this happened in Great Britain. It doesn't really relate to us here. They have incredible security everywhere, and for good reason. There is no joking around over there. "Message" T-shirts are taken very seriously. Around your house or out and about in your own little village maybe, but never in government buildings, public buildings, etc. You would risk being checked out.
Very good reason the street where my sister lives was cordoned off all day because bomb making eqipment had been found in a rental house half a block away. It had been rented by a young couple hwo then allowed their illegal immigrant family to move in with them.
They have similar "Illegal problems" to us only they come in on boats from Europe under cover of darkness instead of walking across the border as they do here.
London has been bombed by fruits and nuts over the years ranging from the odd person acting on his own to Hitler to the IRA to the Muslim extremists.
I was at Heathrow last month and security was tight but I would rather be thrown off an airplane for a stupid t/shirt than have slack security. If they leave the decision of what to let through and what to ban to individual security guards who knows what would pass onto the airplane. A rule saying no guns or bombs on shirts may cause a cartoon shirt to come under fire but at least the security guard had a firm guidline to follow.
Thanks! and you are in a position to know.
I understand where it was at. I read the article before I posted it.
What I am referring to is......... if you think that the same thing can't happen here( so much of it already HAS started )..then you need to get out in the sunshine more. We are being more and more and more ..little by little ..inch by inch .... regulated into a herd that can be "controlled " every single day.
this was security at an airport they need to have a firm standard for security to follow, that way theres no hemming and hawing and holding up the process while the guard consults with his superior to see if this is banned or that can go through. Security at Heathrow moves through quickly. The lines are long but not slow, simply because they know what is allowed and it is posted all over the place so the public also knows what is allowed, and they know there are no exceptions. In Chicago where the guidlines are not set in stone the lines were long and verrrrrrrrrry slow because alot of people had no clue (including the security who where talking back and forth about what should go through) although there were some signs there as well.
regulating airport/plane security is a whole different ball game to regulating everyday life.
I for one would not fly anymore if they were not strict about what does and does not go through security in this day and age. Some of it does seem ridiculous when taken in part but looking at the whole picture it make sense to me
I'm not disputing the fact that we need security.. But just how silly are they going to get before "common sense" is no longer prevailant?
But what I am also saying is...
Little by little, everything that the government does (so they say.."for our own good" of course..) is becoming more and more the taking away of our own rights as humans and individualism...and leaning more and more to socialistic and regimented attitudes of government controlled masses.
You say that regulating airport/plane security is a whole different ball game to regulating everyday life.
Yes it is..( right now) but if they start telling us what we can and can not 'wear' to ride an airplane..hence an emblem on a t-shirt or ball cap..then how and when do the rules start creeping into the home and business on other things.
( as it already has with smoking and firearms and a host of other rules and regs. that take our god given rights as human beings way from us...slowly and surely..so small of steps that most don't even know it's happening)
Where do we say "Stop!"
Little by little .. piece by piece our individual rights as free thinking and acting individuals are being replaced with " We have made a new law...You have to do this because of regulation #_. it is for your own good. " ::)
It might not be very much off the rule before that (which we had to get used to and accept.) so we go along with it.
After all..... the government is taking care of us and they DID said it is for our 'safety' .. :police: Never mind that it makes absolutely NO SENSE. And we KNOW it doesn't make any sense..buuuutttt, we convince ourself that it isn't too bad, and we have gotten to the "numb and dumb "stage, so we add it to the 'list'. And another day goes on. After all.. the government KNOWS what is best and they are keeping us all safe.. right?
The laws are getting to be more and more stupid and more and more controlling.
*Just one Example..
In Washington DC..IF you fill out LOTS of paperwork (more than we do here) and go through more than normal background checks the state "allows" ALLOWS?? you to have a firearm in your home.
(First off, I find that totally unacceptable and preposterous that anyone outside of myself can ALLOW me to have anything in the privacy of my home!
BUT~~~~~~~~~~
You can not load it or carry it loaded anywhere in your home or property. WHAT?
That's right ladies and gents..... >:(
The only way you can transport the gun to any other part of your home is to dissemble it and THEN take it to another room. The ammo of course is NOT in it In fact, the ammo can not be in it. If you have a break in and someone is threatening you and your families life (of course the criminal has a gun cause he doesn't care about laws anyway) you have to load your gun and then shoot..and then ..............(get this) you will be subject to being arrested for "breaking the rule' that was originally in effect.
(Hence the big supreme court hearing on Heller vs Heller which is in effect right now.
I realize I am going off on this..and I realize that this t-shirt logo thing is not here( yet)
But I'm tired of feeling like I am in a cattle chute slowly walking ..step by step..tiny rule by tiny rule into a government made slaughter pit.
When are we going to stand up and quit accepting every regulation that is shoved down our throat?
The more you accept.. the more they make and enforce.
~~~
That was my focus on the post.
Teresa, I said I wasn't gonna do this anymore but what the hell, unfortunatley most people are herd animals and as my husband says" the only thing they know is STAY with the mob, it's safe in the mob" The few of us who haven't been hammered into round holes get pooh poohed when we try to get the attention of the mob BEFORE they walk off the cliff. It starts in school with dress codes and rules about how to wear your hair and what kind of music is allowed etc etc and they just keep tryin to round off your square corners for the rest of your life. There is a difference between security and stupid. Blockin somebody because of a t-shirt is stupid. I say screw the mob and support the mavericks. there is also a difference between trying to keep your individuality and bein a terrorist. Duh.
good bye everybody!!!!!!! 2 years ago when I came upon this forum it was a good place to be fun way to keep up with local news and to discuss things back and forth share ideas ect. and being new to the area it was a great way to learn about Howard and Elk county and to get to know the people here but over the last year there have been several occaisions when I have felt "shouted" at I have come to agree with Kermit and a couple of others who left the forum that it is not such a good place to be anymore. Being called a herd animal is not my idea of a place to come and toss around ideas. So those of you who know me have my phone number and as for the rest it was nice knowing you
i came here because I was born and raised in that neck of the woods. I am sorry that MY opinions are not to y'alls likin. When you have a discussion on politics you're gonna get differin opinions and some of em are gonna tick you off. Takin them personal is a personal thing. People talk politics to argue, period. Just cause my opinion isn't the same as yours doesnt make it wrong and vice versa. Sorry if I hurt feelins but it doesn't change my opinion, guess I'll just keep my opinions to myself. Actually I was talkin in generalities and wasn't talkin to any one person except maybe Teresa so guess it's on you for takin it personal.
WELL, I have been one to post my opinions and they are just that. MY opinions. A good discussion lets a person see ALL sides of a subject. Why can't people discuss politics, or anything else for that matter, without getting mad and taking their bat and ball and going home? Unless you are named specifically, why must you take it personal? If you believe strongly enough about your convictions, then by all means let everyone else know your feelings on the subject. That doesn't mean they have to agree with you. And some may agree with part of it and some disagree with all of it. THAT IS AMERICA - THE RIGHT TO YOUR BELIEFS. (for the time being, anyhow :-\) I have some very good friends on here and some relatives on here and we don't always agree, but we can agree to disagree without getting mad over it.
My opinions have always been a little outside the norm but they are mine :) Thanks Ma.
;D ;D you had a good teacher, or teachers. I think I may need to borrow Teresa's saying LORD KEEP YOUR ARM AROUND MY SHOULDERS AND YOUR HAND OVER MY MOUTH and while you're at it, could you please keep my fingers off this keyboard for a few?
I agree with Marinemom, this forum used to be a fun place to be. But it has turned into a place to vent negative feelings about life in general. Negative feelings will never get you anywhere. Maybe I am a Pollyanna, but I believe that there is a positive side to everything, even though it is hard to see sometimes. I am so sick of negative that I am skipping reading a lot of the postings. If they make me feel bad at the start, I just skip them. I am hoping that after the general election, everybody will go back to being nice human beings again. Maybe I do have my head in the sand, but the world as I see it is much more pleasant than a lot of you are seeing it. Maybe I am not mad at the world, but I don't feel as if the world is mad at me. As for the coming election, I will vote. My vote won't count for a lot, but nothing anyone says on this forum is going to influence my decision as to whom I will vote for. So all your raving and ranting and posting of unsubstantiated bad mouthing is going for naught. But if it makes you feel better, then you are in bad shape.
I have said it before and I will say it again..
Anytime you "talk" using a keyboard..and there is not the sound of the persons voice or facial expressions and if you have never met that person , ( so you can "hear" them while you read what they write) there is going to be the problem of misunderstandings of "someone" lashing out" or "screaming". Even though none of that was ever taking place in reality.
For those of us who do not read other peoples viewpoints as personal jabs..we are generally shocked or amazed that others seem to see themselves in other peoples writing. For to us , it is simply a spout off viewpoint. Not a personal insult written directly to one of the 1,000 or so people who will read it.
Believe me, as forum administrator of 3 HUGE other forums... I will delete and stop anything that is directed at a person directly... on a personal level. But just because one person thinks that something is dumb.. doesn't mean that the person who simply stated a viewpoint is dumb. This is the mildest and most easy going general forum that we have. ..so I marvel sometimes at what people in this small community deem "offensive" or "personal".
Politics and Religion..
2 subjects have never sparked more debate in the history of mankind than these 2 subjects. It has always been like this.. but with the internet and "forums" you get people (me included) who are very passionate about issues.
I don't know that I have ever called anyone any names.. or signaled out any one person. If I have.. then my sincere apologies. I don't see issues as individual problems that are anybody's fault...or attack any one person. I just don't ever do that and I never scream. I don't scream at my family or at my friends. It just isn't my nature. I am more calm when I write than ever. I am just so danged passionate with my words that it probably comes off stronger than need be. But that is what makes a good speech giver and writer.. soooooooooooooo.. kind of hell if I do and hell if I don't situation. ;D
If someone takes what is generally being said personal. there is nothing at all anyone can do about that. If this forum was only about sweet and nice things ..and the weather and what grows in your garden and who died and history of 100 yrs ago.. would it not be a bit boring? If that is what you all want.. I can jerk this politics and religion thread down in a heartbeat. All you have to do is tell me..and if the majority want it .. it's gone.It is the "people forum" given as a gift to you all to discuss "whatever". I can add boards and take them away if the general % wants.. I wouldn't take it personal at all.
Maybe we should have a vote and start a poll... ( but that is for later)
let me finish here.
Politics is politics.. Some like McCain ..some like Obama..
I have made no bones about how I feel as several others of you in here have also done. But do I take personally what the Obama / Hillary supporters say? Absolutely not. ( I wish McCain had Obama speaking talent. ) Do I continue to stand for my beliefs and state what I am feeling? Sure... I think everyone should ..even if you are a minority in a group. Be strong and if you believe in something.. then by golly BELIEVE in it...and if you find you are wrong or want to change your mind.. then you can do that too.
If you have issues with issues?? . This is the place to get them out on the table.
No.. it doesn't solve the country's problems but sometimes it just feels good to get it out and root for your team!
There is always going to be 2 teams.. and one is gonna win and one side isn't going to be happy...
so........ you suck it up and do the best you can with what you got.
You can not have a large group of people who are conversing and sharing different opinions ( thank god for that) and not have some emotions.
Screaming? I wasn't at all. Talking like when I have to give speeches?...................with strong conviction and truth of what I believe in.. ??
Yea I guess I do. :-\
I didn't think Pam was screaming either. She is simply voicing how she feels that maybe doesn't agree with someone else.
but I thought that was what heavy discussions were about. She and I don't see eye to eye on things but I would still invite her over for hamburgers and some fun. One has nothing to do with the other.
Hell, I can have conversations like this and in the next sentence to someone bring them a cup of coffee and talk about canning pickles. ;D and make plans to go to a movie together. I hold nothing personal and you can ask anyone anywhere and they will tell you that I may sound like a hard ass when I write.... but I am the most forgiving and easy going person you can deal with.
**I take that back.. there is one person in this lifetime that I literally despise.**.. so I DO have it in me to be unforgiving. :P
But...I am not going to change the way I am and worry about being politically correct for fear of stepping on toes because someone believes different than I do. .. as no one should have to do that.
If conversations and discussions and totally different opinions can not be discussed openly and honestly.. then what is the use of talking to each other at all? I don't think that we should be robots who are programmed to only talk about what is acceptable. Sorry. I have too much energy inside me to passively stand back and let it roll by me... without wanting to get in there and find out why someone else feels that way. More often than not, I think anyone of us see both sides on some issues. And sometimes we don't. That's okay.
I am an adult as those in this forum are. ...and thought that most people could have full adult conversations without taking personal offense, getting mad and headin' to the house..never to play again.
Guess I was wrong. :'(
But there are lots of sections to this forum.. so if you don't care for what goes on in one.. stay out of it and use the other sections. ..or join in.. and get your opinion out there and let yourself be heard.
The choice is yours to make.
Thanks.. :)
Teresa
PS.... just got ready to post this and read the posts...
Flo.. unfortunately ..sometimes the lord's hand slips off my mouth..( usually when he is smacking me upside the head) ;D ;D ;D
Not everyone thinks alike.....That is what makes forums interesting. Heck, I have even learned a thing or two reading others opinions and learned to appreciate them.
I have a friend who always has to be right. Doesn't matter what the topic or what is said, they are always right. To stay friends, I just try and avoid any conversations that might lead down that road. Sound boring? It is, and it is a shame.
Everyone needs to learn some tolerance and appreciate the fact that it takes all kinds to make it go around. Someone also said it would be a pretty dull forum if all we did was swap recipes, find out who died, and found out why the fire whistle went off.
I agree on both accounts.
If I ever get aggravated enough to quit the forum, I won't make a big announcement about it. I will just quit and keep my opinions to myself. That is an argument I know I can dominate!
I enjoy reading everyones views, but can't say that I agree with all. That is what makes it an interesting stirring pot of ideas and philosophy. Please keep up the fine work everyone!!!
(Wilma, everyone's vote matters!!!)
(http://th123.photobucket.com/albums/o289/labgirly/smileys/th_smileysurrender.gif)
Lol, i am glad there are people like you in the world Teresa :)
Wilma, nobody has more hope for the human race than I do! But I also see the dark side of things, doesn't make me a pessimist.
There are a few things I get fired up about and thank God/dess I still got it in me to GET fired up!
(gets your blood pumpin and cleans out the pipes :P)
I was told one time that if somethin makes you mad it's probly because you see some of it in yourself and I can't help if somthin I say strikes somebody that way. I have that happen a lot myself and instead of gettin mad I try to change whatever it is in myself that made me take it personal. But that's just me. I've always been able to see both sides, may not agree with em but I can see em.
I truly enjoy a good argument, you learn things, some you didn't know and some you thought you knew. And sometimes you teach sombody else somthin they needed to know.
i wasn't yellin....i have been goin against the general flow since I was old enough to pay attention. It's got me in trouble more than once but still think it's better to stand my ground than give in UNLESS I see I'm wrong.
There are a lot of good people on here just as committed to what they believe as I am, don't mean we can't have coffee like Teresa said:) We can always talk about the weather or how crappy the garden is doin on account of it so far! lol
2nd Revolution"It's important to realize that whenever you give power to politicians or bureaucrats, it will be used for what they want, not for what you want." ~ Harry Browne
Lord have mercy...I haven't been posting real regularly because of it being the beginning of the school year...I happened to notice a thread that I haven't had time to look at previously...and OHMIGAWD...uhm...I think, speaking tactfully here, that Teresa has been an extremely mature, insightful person to have dealt so kindly with such sophomoric drivel...it reminds me of the days in 3rd grade, where if you didn't like the game being played, you took your ball and went home. I think that the comments regarding the forum being a less-than-desirable place to visit were completely off-base and senseless...and if there was anyone who would be judgemental, it's ME. So, pick up your ball and go home...this game will keep right on going. LOL ::) ::)
Lol :-[ think we were all doin the oh shucks after this one :D
No big deal... ;D ;D ;D
It is way over and done with. I should have paid better attention to the thread that I attached this new video too.. :P
Dang.. like digging up an old grave that should have stayed buried. :D
Oh well... it was where the video belonged.. sooooooooooooooooooooo what can I say?
See... Common Sense has prevailed. I guess it wasn't dead in this case after all.
Great Video, Teresa.
