I don't believe it, or I wouldn't if I hadn't seen it. Memphis beat UCLA and now I am wondering if KU will be able to beat Memphis.
They have to get pass North Carolina first, which I believe they can.
8:30 Alll I can say isi WOW.
What I can say at 8:33 p.m. is, WAY TO GO HAWKS! Show Roy Williams what you are made of.
Half time and KU up by 17!!!!!!!! ;D :o
I am not thinking any negative thoughts, only positive ones.
See what the power of positive thinking can do.
;D ;D ;D WHERE'S THE SWEATING FACE?
Yahooooo!
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!! KU!!!
What a game!!!!
What I hate about the Hawks playing for first is that I have to work. I guess I'll find out when I get home if we are national champs or not.
YEE HAW !!!! WHAT A THRILLER THOSE TWO GAMES WERE !! I was sad that UCLA got beat -- but so happy for Memphis - as they are first timers and that is always a good thing. I always feel sad for the losing team, they all play their best.
NOW FOR THE GREAT GAME AND I DO FEEL THAT KU WILL EMERGE THE VICTOR !!! I was sooooooo proud of them last night
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWKS GO KU !!!
Now that K U finally made it to the final four ,I am hoping that they can go all the way!
I am excited for this game!! 8) 8) Can't wait!!!!
I'll be watching too.
I so much want K U to show the world the great team they are!! I am so tired of them not getting the respect they deserve! I do believe that the game they played Saturday against UNC showed how multi-talented all K U's players are. This KU team shows us all the true meaning of teamwork. Not one single player on that team has an ego. They know it takes all of them to win. Of all my years following KU, this year has truly been an emotional and exciting one for me!!!!
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!! GO KU!!
I SURE DO LOVE THAT CRIMSON AND BLUE!!
Tonight's the night. Remember, positive thoughts only. Let's help win this one, too.
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1/2 Down, 1/2 to GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya Hoo, KU!
What a three............my prayers were answered. 5 more minutes to go.
YEAH JAYHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I STILL REMEMBER THAT SWEET NIGHT 20 Years ago. Now another one to go with it.
What a game! Glory be! Wow! Great!

dang, I bout got the edge of my recliner wore out. That was one exciting game
I'm still drying the tears - of joy!
Whooaa!!! The CHAMPS!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
What a great way to end my day.
This day has been a good one, and a strange one.
Yesterday morning was beautiful outside and I got my 2 miles in and
then cleaned up the trash around the Housing yard and did some trimming.
Then this afternoon a baseball game was scheduled and I go early so I can get another mile
in going around the ball field.
Well, I was 5 minutes from leaving the house all I needed to do was to pick up the items I was
taking and get them to the car when the sky darkened and
it started to hail.........and then rain.
I waited for it to ease off and grabbed an umbrella, just in case and
went to the field to see if we were going to play.
Chetopa was almost to Longton, so we waited for them and most of the Longton people were ready
to call it off......field was a mess and the sky was still fixing to rain.
They finally decided to get in as much of a game as they could and I got to keep books for them.
Our boys lost a couple close games and I came home to the KU game.
Only missed the first 5 minutes of the game and didn't move til it was over.
Well, Ok, I did go to the bathroom and I did finally get supper.......yogurt with cereal in it.
I finally got to bed about midnight and slept well.
Rock chalk Jayhawks....
we can celebrate years on that game.
I confess. I waivered for a second, then I remembered, positive thoughts. And it worked. Hooray for our Kansas boys. I am going to e-mail my Missouri children and remind them that Kansas rules.
Congratulations to all. That was THE best basketball game I have ever seen!!! True strategy, as well as shooting, missing, fouling, fouling out, 2 pointers, 3 pointers when it really mattered, and an overtime that caught Memphis completely off guard. They really didn't know what hit them.
What a great ballgame last night!!!!! Although we live in Soonerland and our kids went to OU, we still love KU and its basketball. Bill Self is a native of Edmond, Oklahoma where we now live and has family and lots of friends here, so this is a great victory for the entire Midwest and Big 12!!!!!!! Go Jayhawks!!!!!! Rock Chalk!!!!!
You all probably know this, but, courtesy of "Google," here's a bit of information:
KU's world famous Rock Chalk Chant evolved from a cheer that a chemistry professor, E.H.S. Bailey, created for the KU science club in 1886. Bailey's version was "Rah, Rah, Jayhawk, KU" repeated three times. The rahs were later replaced by "Rock Chalk," a transposition of chalk rock, the name for the limestone outcropping found on Mount Oread, site of the Lawrence campus.
The cheer became known worldwide. Teddy Roosevelt pronounced it the greatest college chant he'd ever heard. Legend has it that troops used the chant when fighting in the Philippines in 1899, in the Boxer Rebellion in China, and in World War II. At the Olympic games in 1920, the King of Belgium asked for a typical American college yell. The assembled athletes agreed on KU's Rock Chalk and rendered it for His Majesty.

The Jayhawk is a mythical bird, a cross between two hunting birds--the noisy blue jay and the quiet sparrow hawk. The term came to prominence just before the Civil War, in Bleeding Kansas, where it was adopted by militant abolitionist groups known as jayhawkers. With the admission of Kansas as a free state in 1861, Jayhawker became synonymous with the people of Kansas. The Jayhawk appears in several Kansas cheers, most notably, the "Rock Chalk, Jayhawk" chant. [1]

Bonnie, that is very interesting! I had always wondered where the chant came from.

Well, from this die-hard K-State fan... CONGRATS TO KU!
That was a very well-played, hard fought game last night!
