Title: Happy Birthday to Elwood Miller
Post by: Calibritwo on February 09, 2008, 06:10:56 PM
I do believe Elwood has a birthday tomorrow, he will be 95. I saw him today and he is still doing pretty good, hes at Twilight Manor for those of you who live away.  When we first moved here I always admired Elwood for getting around like he did on that old bicycle, and he was a pretty good plumber too. I bet some of you have great memories of Elwood.

Yes, my memories of Elwood Miller are when I was just a little kid, he would delight in teasing me about taking me "snipe" hunting!  I remember him chawing "terbaccer" and sometimes chewing on a cigar.  I don't think he ever knew a stranger.

You are right.  Elwood does not know any strangers and the stories he can tell.  His memory has always been good.  Elwood's sister, Agnes, still gets around on her own, but she does use a cane.  She still picks up Beauna (?) Taylor and they go to the post office, store, and coffee.
