Title: Wilds of the West
Post by: T. Sackett on December 08, 2007, 02:43:51 PM
L.T. Williams of this city has gathered together a number of rare and almost extinct animals which he will exhibit to the people of the Eastern and Middle states during the coming season.
He has a very fine specimen of the Piccary, an Armodillo* the terrible Gilla Monster, horney toads, etc., besides a perfect specimen of a child mummy 32 inches long.
From a personal visit we can say that the collection is well worth seeing.  One of the animals, the Gilla Monster, is said to be almost extinct.
We hope that Mr. Williams will give the people of Howard a chance to see these rare animals before he leaves.
