Was it because Fiat had the railroad and Cave Springs had water to ship? Just a guess....................

Do the springs that Cave Springs is named for still exist?
The springs may still exist but we will never know. The owner, I have heard, does not allow anyone on his land.
There is still a spring, but it is not a strong one that would provide enough mineral waters for a lot of people.
I'll try to get some pictures...
((Ta Ta isn't the only one around these parts who have connections)) ;)
Thank You TA TA and Teresa. ;)
It would be interesting to see what the springs look like today.
Most people would just climb over the fence (or roll under it like I do) to go get their pictures. ;D ;D
I am not rolling anywhere. The chiggers this year just luuuuve me.
Actually Derek and Mark are pretty good friends with the owner..so the next time he comes into the store, I will have them ask if It is ok if I go on and take some pictures..
That would great. Since the only photos I know of is of the hotel that sat next to the springs.
Cave Springs also had a newspaper, the Cave Springs Globe.

I will try but right now I don't have a computer that will open the CDs (my pictures files) where the photos are located.

I am getting a tad impatient.. :)

Great! I definitely want a copy. :)
Keep us posted on the progress of the book. I would like a copy of it when it is completed and printed.

I did not find the photo of Cave Springs' hotel but I did find a photo of a business in Fiat, Kansas. I will try to get it on the Forum asap.
