BIRTHDAY SURPRISE
A very enjoyable day was spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Divine, northwest of Howard, on Sunday, December 18, when their daughter, Miss Edna, planned and carried out a very pleasant surprise on her mother. The occasion being her 53rd birthday.
At the noon hour the dining table was laden with good things to eat. The center piece was a large birthday cake which was decorated with 53 candles. This cake was baked by Miss Edna.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dudgeon, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Flagler, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Baughman, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Divine, Mr.and Mrs. Ray Dudgeon, Mr. and Mrs. Hes Neal, Mrs. Bert Spaunaugle, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dudgeon, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Flagler, Mrs. Mattie Smith, Misses Marjorie Divine, Edna Divine, Mildred Baughman, Bonnie Baughman, and Veda Dudgeon, Mr. Bill Smith, Raymond Divine, Lonnie Flagler, Bobbie Dudgeon.
