The following brief mention of an interesting event is sent to us from Moline:

April 30th being the 77th birthday of J. J. Webb, his children, waiting till he and Mrs. Webb were on their way to church and from well filled baskets, a birthday dinner was prepared that will long be remembered.  When Mr. and Mrs. Webb and Fannie came home from church the surprise that awaited them was genuine.  The children were all present, except Beatrice of Palmer Lake, Colorado and Joe of Bend, Oregon.  Those present to help celebrate the joyous occasion were: Russell, Gertrude and Frank Edward of Moline, Susy, Bert, Ramona and Ruth of Howard and little Jack Blizzard, great grandson of Mr. and Mrs Webb; Ralph and Opal and little sons James and John, of Moline and Fannie of Los Angeles, California.  Relatives and friends called to wish Mr. Webb a happy birthday and all too soon the day had gone and it was time to go to our separate homes but happy memories are ours.
