Senate Majority Leader Blake Curd called the passage of the law "a constitutional crisis in our state" because, he said, it makes "de-facto criminals out of every elected office holder" and gives those officials "only two choices: resign the office and abandon the voters or remain and commit a crime."
Hmmm, sounds like a wise citizens' initiative to me. And a political party is rescinding a citizens' initiative, the GOP has more power in South Dakota than the the people do. How's that for icing on the cake? When will the party come to Kansas? Maybe it is already here.

Interesting.
However, it's disappointing that people vote for stuff like government financed election campaigns. Don't know why Americans would want government financed political campaigns because we shouldn't want government to be an influence upon elections. On the hand, why should I be surprised at such thinking in modern America where government is our overseer and nanny to everyone. People seem to think we get everything from government including our rights.
