I see in the newspaper this morning that the Howard city council discussed the $39,730 one-and-done payment to the city from Elk County to fund infrastructure projects. I feel quite sure the city will put this money to good use.

Don't know how one of your comrades could describe you as "ultra-conservative".

By the way, there never has been such a thing as "good old Kansas conservatism". Republicans have always been socialist and Democrats joined the socialist cause later after the War for Southern Independence.
Will the Republicans on this forum defend the cause for conservatives? Will they defend conservatives? So far they have not, but they have defended or promoted the cause the progressives - a progressive community.
The term "Infrastructure" tells you absolutely nothing about how the money is spent !
It avoids saying this whole thing was probably cooked up to provide the money Howard has been begging for to repair their swimming pool.
And there is no form of accountability afforded for the use of the money.
Maybe the mayor needs a deluxe doggie mansion for his beloved poodle.
Who knows?
There is no transparency or accoutability, none!
