LEXINGTON, Va. -
Hundreds gathered Saturday in Lexington for Lee-Jackson Day Ceremonies. Even though some Virginia towns aren't observing the holiday, it doesn't stop the people in Lexington.
Lee Jackson Day Ceremonies are very much a family affair for Gary Walker.
"We're all very proud of our ancestors," Walker said.
His son is named after General Forrest, and his granddaughter, Ashlee for General Lee.
"We're all a product of our history and if we forget it, we have lost so much," he said.
Saturday's ceremony brought hundreds to Lexington.
